Bajaj Pulsar N150 & N160 Upgrades Teased
Bajaj Auto, a leading name in the Indian two-wheeler industry, is all set to enhance the motorcycling experience with the soon-to-be-unveiled updates for the Pulsar N150 and N160 models in 2024.
The Pulsar lineup is more than just a series of bikes for Bajaj; it is the backbone of their sales, accounting for a staggering 50% of total two-wheeler sales. This makes the Pulsar range a prime candidate for periodic upgrades to maintain its supremacy in the competitive market.

Exciting Sneak Peeks
Bajaj Auto has been teasing the motorcycling community with glimpses of what's to come. The recent teaser on social media has revved up excitement levels, showcasing the motorcycles in new, vibrant colours and striking graphics. These bikes are not only going to look more attractive but will also pack a punch with improved functionality.
A notable upgrade on the new Pulsar range is the digital instrument console equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, reflecting the brand’s commitment to integrating modern technology into their machines.
The reflection of a digital speedometer on a rider's helmet seen in the teaser points towards the advanced Bluetooth-enabled features, such as message and call notifications, which address the growing demand for connectivity while riding.
The Pulsar series has been a favourite among those who value performance, and the 150cc to 200cc motorcycle segment has seen a significant upturn. Bajaj’s dominance in this segment, with a market share of 28.37% last month, is a testament to the brand's strong foothold and the Pulsar range's popularity.
Anticipated Upgrades to Look Forward To
For the Pulsar N150, enthusiasts can look forward to potential enhancements like the inclusion of rear disc brakes, providing a more controlled and confident braking system. A split seat option, which offers a sportier look and feel, might also be on the cards, mirroring the feature already available on the N160.
The Pulsar N160, on the other hand, could be getting a major upgrade with the introduction of USD (Upside Down) front forks, which would be a significant move from the existing telescopic front forks. Both models are poised to present new color schemes and graphics, adding to their aesthetic appeal.
While the engines for both models are expected to remain the same—the N150 with a 149.68cc engine and the N160 with a 164.82cc engine—there is speculation about fine-tuning these powerhouses for even better performance. The wheels and tires are likely to stay the same, with possible new colour treatments to match the refreshed look of the variants.
As we anticipate the official roll-out of the updated Pulsar N150 and N160, the buzz among bike aficionados is palpable. The final reveal could also bring about a revision in the pricing strategy, though the current models start at Rs 1.18 lakh for the N150 and Rs 1.30 lakh for the N160.
Thoughts About The Updated Pulsar Range
With these enhancements, Bajaj aims to fortify its position in the market and continue to feed the passion of bike enthusiasts across the country. Keep an eye out for more updates as we move closer to the exhilarating launch of these bikes.
