2 Wheeler EV Sales (Retail) November 2024: Ola Leads TVS & Bajaj

Two-wheeler EV retail sales rose in November by 29.24 per cent year-over-year (Y-o-Y) to 119,047 units as Ola, TVS and Bajaj topped the charts once again. Retail sales of electric two-wheelers rose by 26,931 units compared to November 2023 when 92,116 units were sold.

However, compared to the blockbuster double festival month of October that saw both Dusshera and Diwali celebrated, month-over-month sales dropped by 14.45 per cent. Compared to October 2024's 139,158 units, retail sales of two-wheeled EVs dropped by 20,111 units.

Bombastic two-wheeler EV specialists Ola Electric lead the way once again with the Bangalore-based firm topping the retail sales charts in November with 29,204 Ola Electric scooters finding new homes last month.

However, compared to last month, Ola's numbers were in the red, dropping by 29.88 per cent or 12,447 units compared to the 41,651 units sold in October. Y-o-Y numbers were also in the red, dropping by 2.89 or 869 units compared to November 2023's 30,073 units.

Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer TVS took second place on the retail sales charts for November 2024 selling 27,007 new electric scooters last month.

While TVS' EV two-wheeler retail year-over-year sales rose by 40.99 per cent (7,892 units compared to November 2023's 19,115 units). M-o-M sales though dropped slightly by 9.72 per cent (922 units) compared to October's 29,915 units.

Bajaj took the third spot on the retail 2-wheeler EV sales charts for November with the firm selling 26,203 units of the Chetak last month. Year-over-year sales numbers rose by 121.25 per cent or 14,360 units compared to November 2023's 11,843 units. Meanwhile, M-o-M sales numbers dropped by 7.19 per cent or 2,029 units compared to October's 28,232 units.

Bangalore-based EV specialists Ather Energy took the fourth spot selling 12,760 units last month. Ather's Y-o-Y sales rose by 36.59 per cent or 3,418 units compared to November 2023's 9,342 units sold. However, M-o-M sales numbers plummeted by 20.22 per cent or 3,223 units compared to October's 15,993 units sold.

Hero Motocorp's EV division Vida took the fifth spot. Vida sold a total of 7,315 units last month, which was 0.04 per cent (3 units) more than the firm's October sales of 7,312 units. Year-over-year sales, on the other hand, rose by a whopping 140.07 per cent (4,268 units) compared to November 2023's 3,047 units sold.
