The 150cc to 200cc April sales breakdown in 2024 for motorcycles in India saw great success, with a YoY growth of 54.48%, having sold 1,81,106 units overall. April 2023, on the other hand, reached a total of 1,17,233 units. The top three bikes on the list account for a combined 67% of the total sales charts for April 2024.

Bajaj Pulsar (50,739 units)

The Bajaj Pulsar, takes first place, with 28.02% of the April 2024 sales, having sold 50,739 units. This is a 39.71% YoY growth for Bajaj, with 36,318 units being sold in April 2023.

TVS Apache (45,520 units)

In the second place, we have TVS, with 45,520 units of the Apache sold, holding a 25.13% of the list. Having sold 38,148 units in April 2023, this is a 19.32% YoY growth for the TVS Apache.

Honda Unicorn (25,889 units)

Taking home the third spot, a newcomer on the list, with 14.29% of the sales we have the Honda Unicorn. Being launched only in the middle of last year, the Unicorn still managed to sell 25,889 units in April 2024.

Yamaha FZ (13,778 units)

The Yamaha FZ sold 13,778 units in April 2024, which is an unfortunate -34.17% decrease in YoY sales as compared to April 2023’s 20,931 units sold, with the Yamaha FZ taking fourth place with 7.61% of the total sales.

Yamaha MT15 (13,359 units)

The Yamaha MT15 takes fifth place, selling 13,359 units and holds 7.38% of the total April 2024 sales. This is an impressive 198.93% YoY growth for Yamaha with sales of the MT15 in April 2023 being 4,469.

Yamaha R15 (11,146 units)

The Yamaha R15 had 11,146 units sold in April 2024, which is a -1.31% decrease in YoY sales with April 2023 having 11,294 units sold. Yamaha still manages to hold seventh place with 6.15% of the total sales for April 2024.

Honda SP160 (8,260 units)

The newcomer on the block, the Honda SP160 sold 8,260 units in April 2024. Only being launched in August of 2023, the Honda SP160 still manages to hold of 4.56% market share in April 2024.

KTM 200 Series had a growth of 11.60% in YoY sales for April 2024, with 2,983 units sold as compared to the 2,673 units sold in the previous year. KTM holds eighth Place with the 200 Series holding 1.65% of April's total sales.

Honda Hornet 2.0 (2,374 units)

Another newcomer, the Honda Hornet 2.0 sold 2,374 units in April 2024. Only being launched in August of 2023, the Honda Hornet holds a 1.31% market share in April 2024.

Hero Xpulse 200 (1,932 units)

The Hero Xpulse 200 takes tenth place, selling 1,932 units in April 2024, which is an impressive 235.42% YoY growth when compared to the 576 units sold in April 2023. The Xpulse holds 1.07% of the sales for April 2024.

Bajaj Avenger (1,484 units)

In eleventh, we have the Bajaj Avenger which sold 1,484 units in April 2024, which is a -4.07% decrease in year-over-year sales when compared to the 1,547 units sold in April 2023. The Avenger accounts for 0.82% of sales for April 2024.

Hero Xtreme 160R/200 (1,447 units)

The twelfth best seller is the Hero Xtreme 160/200 which sold 1,447 units in April 2024 and accounts for a 0.80% share of the list. Compared to April 2023 which sold 626 units, the Xtreme experienced a 131.15% increase in sales.

Suzuki Gixxer (1,405 units)

The Suzuki Gixxer sold 1,405 units and holds a 0.78% share of April's total sales. When compared to April 2023, Suzuki has experienced a 176.57% growth in sales of the Gixxer with 508 units being sold the previous year.

Honda CB200X (632 units)

The Honda sold 632 units of their newcomer, the CB200 X in April 2024, putting it in fourteen places. This leaves the Honda CB200X in thirteenth position with a 0.35% share of the total sales of the month.

Kawasaki W175 (158 units)

Lastly, we have the Kawasaki W175 at number fifteen which has experienced a growth in YoY sales, with 158 units being sold in April 2024 as compared to the 143 units sold in April 2023 which is a 10.49% increase.
