Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme Unveiled: The Ultimate Adventure Bike Just Got Better!
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme has been unveiled. This is a testament to Yamaha's commitment to amplifying the off-road experience for the biking community.
Famed as the most extreme and off-road-focused variant of the Tenere 700 series, the Extreme showcases significant enhancements making it far superior to its counterparts. It exhibits fully adjustable KYB suspension at both ends, 20mm additional ground clearance, and the highest seat height yet in the lineup at 910mm, which Yazaki claims offer smoother suspension action and are even more durable. Powering this elite model variant is the well-known liquid-cooled, 689cc, CP2 mill that churns out a solid 72.4bhp and 68Nm of torque, similar to the rest of the lineup.

Maintaining its focus on off-road adventure, the Tenere 700 Extreme is armed with factory-equipped titanium footrests and a tall, beaky front fender. The model's ground clearance stands at an impressive 260mm, evidently prepared to surmount practically any obstacle thrown at it. It features a 5-inch vertical TFT dash with three separate display themes which allows one to disable ABS by navigating the menus.
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme is essentially an evolved version of the original flagship adventure bike launched in 2019 that has been transformed into more off-road-centered variants.

From the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid, Rally Edition to the World Rally, the Extreme, albeit without a competition-inspired name, bears distinct off-road attributes engineered for riders with motocross or enduro experience who seek added performance in challenging terrains.
Various other changes made to the Tenere 700 extreme have been aimed at improving the bike’s ergonomics and aesthetics. The footrests are 35% larger in surface area than the standard Tenere 700.

The front mudguard has been heightened, and matches the bike’s Icon Blue paint scheme; the spoked wheels have been dyed gold. The Extreme variant is also armed with an aluminium mesh radiator protector, a chain guide, and a 5-inch TFT display with a 'roadbook' mode and a left side switch cluster with a trip switch.
The Tenere 700 Extreme, reverting to a smaller 16 liters fuel tank, whose reduced size aids in keeping the bike's wet weight down at 203 kgs when compared to its counterparts, the World Raid and World Rally, which weighs 220kgs.

The Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme is anticipated to hit the European markets in 2024, including the UK, and Yamaha enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for further information on its pricing and availability.
