Vespa Justin Bieber Edition Launched In India – Price Tag Will Give You A Heart Attack
Piaggio India launched the Vespa Justin Bieber Edition scooter in India. This limited edition Vespa scooter is a collector's model and it is priced at Rs 6.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
Moreover, the new Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter will be available in single-digit numbers in India, making the scooter extremely rare. It is also worth mentioning that the Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter will be imported to India as a CBU unit.
Speaking about the Vespa, Justin Bieber said, "I love Vespa, and to partner with such a classic brand is so cool. Being able to express myself, whether it's through art, music, visuals, or aesthetics, being able to create something from nothing - it's a part of me."
That being said, the Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter is based on the Vespa 150 and has been specifically designed by Justin Bieber himself. Also, the limited edition model incorporates a few special aesthetic changes as well.
Also, the new Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter is finished in White shade. In fact, this colour is not only applicable to the body panels, but also extends to the saddle, grips, and spokes of the rims. Moreover, the limited edition also sports flame decals on the sides - Radiating a very retro vibe.
However, despite this retro theme, the Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter is a modern machine and incorporates all the modern touches such as all-LED lighting, a full-colour TFT display, smartphone connectivity tech, and more.
"The first time I rode a Vespa was somewhere in Europe, probably either London or Paris. I just remember seeing a Vespa and being like 'I want to ride one of those. And I had such a great time, just the wind flying through my hair, the freedom. It was fun." He added.
In terms of powertrain, the Vespa scooter is available with 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc powertrains. However, in India, the new Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter will be available with the more powerful 150cc engine option.
Thanks to the use of this 150cc powertrain, the new Vespa Justin Bieber edition scooter will abide by the recently introduced, more stringent BS6 Phase 2 emission regulations in the country.
Thoughts: Though people in India have spent up to Rs 40,000 for Justin Bieber's concert, we do not see anyone including Jaaved Jaffrey's daughter Alaviya buying this exorbitantly priced scooter in the country.
