TVS X Electric Scooter – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
TVS Motor launched the much-awaited TVS X electric scooter in India. This new electric scooter is based on the Creon Concept and here are the top 5 things you need to know about the TVS X electric scooter.
Price: The newly launched TVS X electric scooter is priced at Rs 2,49,990 (ex-showroom). As of now, the TVS X electric scooter will be available in just one fully-kitted variant.
Powertrain: The new TVS X electric scooter sports an electric motor with a peak power output of 11kW (14.75bhp). However, the rated output of the electric motor stands at 7kW (9.38bhp). Furthermore, the installed battery pack capacity is rated as 4.44kWh.
Performance & Range: Thanks to this powertrain setup, the new TVS X electric scooter can accelerate to 40km/h in just 2.6 seconds and attain a top speed of 105km/h. According to the company, the TVS X electric scooter can travel up to 140 kilometres on a full charge.
Charging: Using the 950W offboard charger, the new TVS X can charge up to 80 per cent of the battery capacity in 4 hours and 30 minutes. However, using the more powerful 3,500W wall charger, the model can charge to 50 per cent of its capacity in just 50 minutes.
Design: The design of the new TVS X electric scooter is based on the TVS Creon Concept that was showcased more than a few years ago. This ensures the model looks nothing like any other scooter currently available in the market.
For starters, the new TVS X features a Perimeter frame like a motorcycle. As such, TVS X electric scooter users shave to swing their leg over the model like a motorcycle. Also, the rear section is stepped like a motorcycle and the model also comes with a split seat setup.
Other Details: TVS Motor has already commenced the bookings for the newly launched TVS X electric scooter and the deliveries of the model have been scheduled to commence from November 2023, starting with Bangalore.
Thoughts: The new TVS X electric scooter looks very sporty and nothing like any other scooter in the market. However, at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the specifications of the model are not as loud as its design.
However, the model does feature top-shelf hardware and technology suit to justify its premium pricing and we expect this model to act as a halo product and attract customers to TVS dealerships across the country.
