TVS To Launch New Electric Scooter Today – Here’s Everything We Know So Far
TVS Motor is all geared up for the launch of its new electric vehicle today. We expect this upcoming EV to be based on the TVS Creon Concept that was showcased a few years back.
That being said, TVS Motor has already released more than a few teasers of this upcoming model and it can be said that the automaker has high expectations. Furthermore, this upcoming Creon-based model is expected to be positioned as the flagship product under the company's electric product portfolio.
In fact, the most recent teaser released by TVS Motor shows that the model will feature a large full-colour TFT display. Along with that, this upcoming TVS Creon-based electric scooter will also come with various connectivity features including smartwatch connectivity.
Speaking about the TVS Creon concept, the concept model was revealed more than a few years ago. Thanks to its distinct styling, the Creon concept model managed to attract plenty of attention to itself.
Analysing the design details, the TVS Creon Concept scooter neatly integrated the elements of a scooter and a motorcycle. Such a design resulted in an electric scooter that looked very sporty yet usable in everyday conditions.
Some of the noticeable design elements on the TVS Creon Concept model include its vertically-positioned LED lights, exposed handlebar with floating digital display, and a raised rear section with off-set mono suspension.
However, the most interesting design highlight of the TVS Creon concept was its sporty perimeter frame. This design detail made the Creon Concept model look 'otherworldly' compared to most scooters sold in India.
This design not only contributed to the sporty appeal, but the perimeter frame also seemed to hold the battery pack. As such, we expect the battery pack in this upcoming TVS Creon-based model to be bigger than the battery pack in the TVS iQube ST electric scooter (5.1kWh).
As such, we expect the battery pack in the TVS Creon electric scooter to be at least 6-7kWh. Along with that, we also expect the TVS Creon electric scooter to sport a 10kW electric motor with enough performance to rival 150cc motorcycles in India.
Thoughts: The Indian electric scooter market has been expanding and a new premium electric scooter will help TVS attract more customers. Also, with electric scooters such as Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 and Simple One, we expect the benchmark for the TVS Creon concept-based electric scooter to be on the higher side.
