TVS Apache RTR 310 To Launch Today: Everything We Know So Far
TVS Motor Company, one of India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers, is all set to launch the much-awaited Apache RTR 310 today at an event in Bangkok, Thailand.
The all-new TVS Apache RTR 310 will be the naked companion to the firm's Apache RR 310 faired sports bike. The Apache RTR 310 will be built on the platform that the firm co-developed with BMW, which sells three bikes made on the same platform - G 310 R, G 310 RR and G 310 GS- in India.

TVS has been teasing the arrival of the RTR 310 for the past few weeks including a takeover of the firm's Apache Instagram handle while cheekily putting that off as testing high jinks on the official TVS page on 'X' (formerly Twitter).
So what exactly have these teasers revealed to us? Well, teasers as well as a photo of a camouflaged test mule with the TVS boss in the saddle have revealed that the RTR 310 will sport an aggressive naked streetfighter design.

The teasers reveal a muscular and compact bike with a sharply tapering tail section which more than carries forward the sporty DNA of the firm's RTR lineup to a whole new segment.
Considering it is built on the same platform as shared by the RR 310 and BMW's trio, the new Apache RTR 310 is expected to make use of the 312.2cc, single-cylinder powerplant used by the other four bikes. The liquid-cooled engine produces 33.5 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7,700 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The new RTR 310 from TVS will sport the same trellis frame setup as its faired RR 310 sibling and BMW cousins. However, the new RTR 310 naked streetfighter could feature a different rear subframe. The new RTR 310 is expected to sport the same USD fork and monoshock suspension setup as the rest of the bikes based on the same platform.
Braking duties are also expected to be carried by the same setup as the RR 310 with the new RTR set to sport a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm unit at the rear (both petal) that will be aided by dual-channel ABS. The new RTR 310 is also expected to share its faired sibling's 17-inch wheel setup, though the tyre used could be a different compound or make.

It is also speculated that the bike will feature a fully digital instrument cluster offering comprehensive ride analytics and possibly ride modes.
Thoughts About The TVS Apache RTR 310
The all-new TVS Apache RTR 310 will go up against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 400, and the Honda CB300R which is expected to make its way to our shores. TVS has already opened pre-bookings for the Apache RTR 310 for an amount of Rs. 3,100. While details about the price are scarce, we expect the new TVS Apache RTR 310 to be priced at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
