Triumph Speed 400 Deliveries Commence – Demand Likely To Increase Ahead Of The Festive Season
Triumph Motorcycles have commenced the deliveries for the newly launched Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle in India. Deliveries for this model commenced in cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune, whereas deliveries in other cities are likely to start in a few days.
At present, the new Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the on-road price for this motorcycle goes up to Rs 2.63 lakh in Delhi.
That being said, Triumph currently has 15 dealerships in India. However, this figure is expected to rise up to 50 dealerships by October, and up to 100 dealerships by March 2024. These 100 dealerships of Triumph motorcycles are said to be spread across 80 cities in India.
At present, the demand for the new Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle is on the higher side and Bajaj claims to have a production capacity of 5,000 units per month for this motorcycle. However, Bajaj is set to ramp up production as the demand for the motorcycle is increasing.
Also, we expect the demand for the new Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle to go up in the coming months, thanks to the sales push achieved during the festive season in India.
Speaking about the new Triumph Speed 400, the motorcycle is powered by a 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is tuned to produce 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Also, the model comes with a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
In terms of hardware, the Triumph Speed 400 comes equipped with a tubular steel perimeter frame with a bolt-on rear subframe and a twin-sided cast aluminium swingarm. While the suspension duty is taken care of by 43mm USD forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
Braking duty on the Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle is taken care of by disc brakes at both ends. These disc brakes measure 300mm at the front and 230mm at the rear. The motorcycle also features dual-channel ABS assistance for more effective braking performance.

With its aggressive price tag, and premium hardware bits, the Triumph Speed 400 has already attracted a generous number of buyers in the country. We expect these numbers to surge in the coming months.
