Tork Motors recently launched the new Urban trim on its Kratos-R electric motorcycle in India. This new motorcycle has been specifically designed for city riders and here are the top 5 things you need to know about this new electric motorcycle.
Price: The newly launched Tork Kratos-R Urban trim is priced at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). However, customers will have to shell out an additional Rs 20,000 to access the whole technological suite.
Features: According to the company, the new Tork Kratos-R Urban is an electric motorcycle focused towards city users. As such, some of the features have been locked, but as mentioned above these features can be unlocked by paying an amount of Rs 20,000 within the first 6 months.
Some of these temporarily available features include multi-ride modes (Eco, City & Sports), reverse mode, fast charging, in-app navigation, live dash over Bluetooth, vehicle locator, anti-theft system, geofencing, charging point location, OTA updates, ride analytics, track mode analytics, smart analytics and guide me home lights.
Electric Motor & Battery Pack: The newly launched Tork Kratos-R Urban comes equipped with a 4.0kWh Li-ion battery pack. This battery pack is IP 67 rated and powers an 'Axial Flux' motor. The company has been recently been granted a patent for this electric motor.
Performance & Range: The newly launched Tork Kratos-R Urban trim level comes with 'City' ride mode. Other than that, the company claims that the model can attain a top speed of 70km/h while delivering a range of more than 100 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack.
Design: The new Tork Kratos-R Urban trim electric motorcycle remains identical to the standard model. Moreover, the electric motorcycle will also be made available in three solid colours - Streaky Red, Oceanic Blue, and Midnight Black.
Thoughts: At Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), the Tork Kratos-R Urban is a costly electric motorcycle. At this price point, there are electric scooters that are capable of delivering a better range and offer better practicality.
That being said, the Tork Kratos-R Urban is a good choice for those specifically looking for an electric motorcycle alone. Also, the performance it offers is also pretty decent for most urban dwellers.
