Ola S1 X Electric Scooter – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Ola Electric launched the Ola S1 X electric scooter with an aggressive introductory price. This newly launched Ola S1 X is the company's new entry-level model. That being said, here are the top 5 things you need to know about the Ola S1 X electric scooter.
Design: The newly launched Ola S1 X range of electric scooters sport very funky dual-tone shades. Furthermore, the model features an exposed-type handlebar setup. Other than that, the Ola S1 X is almost identical to the Ola S1 Air electric scooter.

Powertrain: The newly launched Ola S1 X electric scooter is powered by the same 6kW hub-mounted electric motor as the previously launched Ola S1 Air electric scooter. Also, the model comes with two battery pack options - 2kW and 3kW.
Performance: Since the Ola S1 X uses the same powertrain as the Ola S1 Air, the performance figures for both these models remain identical. As such, the Ola S1 X takes 3.3 seconds to reach 40km/h and the top speed is rated as 90km/h.

Range: The claimed range of the Ola S1 X electric scooter stands at 151 kilometres. However, the claimed range for the Ola S1 X variant with the smaller 2kWh battery pack is rated at just 91 kilometres.
Price: In terms of pricing, the base Ola S1 X variant with the smaller 2kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom). However, post the introductory price offer, this variant will be priced at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom).

On the other hand, the standard Ola S1 X variant is priced at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom). However, after the introductory price offer, customers have to shell out an additional Rs 10,000 as the model will be priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
Thoughts: Ola has yet again proved that no EV maker can compete against it when it comes to pricing. At Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom), the Ola S1 X electric scooter will attract even the most loyal petrolhead.
However, we think the Ola S1 X electric scooter with the bigger 3kWh battery pack is more suitable for a wider range of buyers looking to buy an electric scooter. Also, at an introductory price of just Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom), this variant also comes with a killer VFM.
