Ducati Hypermotard 698 Engine
The new Ducati Hypermotard 698 uses the Ducati's 659cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Superquadro Mono engine with Desmodromic valves. This engine in the Ducati Hypermotard 698 pushed out 76.7bhp at 9,750rpm and 63Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
Power and torque figures can be tweaked to 83.6bhp and 67Nm by replacing the stock exhaust with an optional Termignoni racing exhaust. Ducati claims 70 per cent of the torque is available at 3,000rpm, and torque never drops below 80 per cent between 4,500rpm and 10,250rpm.
According to Ducati, the new Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine is a derivative of the 1,285cc engine in the Ducati Panigale 1299 - We expect this claim to attract plenty of attention of potential buyers.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Gearbox
The new Ducati Hypermotard 698 motorcycle uses a 6-speed gearbox with Slip & Assist clutch. However, a quick shifter is an optional extra, but the RVE model gets it as part of the standard fitment.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Chassis & Suspension
Like all modern Ducati bikes, the new Hypermotard 698 motorcycle also uses a Trellis frame. However, this one weighs in at just 7.2 kilograms, resulting in a kerb weight of just 151 kilograms.
Coming to the suspension setup, the new Ducati Hypermotard 698 uses USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Also, both of these suspension units are fully adjustable.

The new Ducati Hypermotard 698 uses a 330mm disc at the front grabbed by a radial M4.32 monobloc caliper. Also, braking is further enhanced by dual-channel ABS, however, ABS for the rear wheels can be turned off.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Tyres & Tech
The Ducati Hypermotard 698 motorcycle uses 120/70 ZR17 tyres at the front and 160/60 ZR17 tyres at the rear. Electronics package includes cornering ABS, traction control, 3 power modes, 4 riding modes, launch control, wheelie control (optional), and a 3.5-inch LCD dash to control all the above tech.
