Deliveries Of River Indie Electric Scooter Commence In India

Now, during the festive season, River, a Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer has commenced the deliveries of the much-awaited River Indie electric scooter in India.
Looking into details, River has commenced the deliveries of the Indie electric scooter in Bengaluru for the first batch of customers who pre-booked the model. Moreover, the keys to the River Indie electric scooter were handed over to the first batch customers at an event organised by the automaker.
It is also worth mentioning that the first batch of River Indie customers received their electric scooters for the introductory price of Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) despite a recent revision to the FAME II subsidy.
Speaking about the River Indie, the electric scooter is powered by an electric motor capable of producing 8.98bhp and 26Nm of peak torque. To supply power to this electric motor the River Indie electric scooter comes equipped with a 4kWh NMC aluminium-cased non-removable battery pack.
Thanks to its large 4kWh battery pack, River claims a real-world range of 120 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack while commuting in ECO mode. That being said, it takes just 5 hours to charge to 80 per cent of battery capacity using the standard charger.
In terms of features, the River Indie electric scooter comes with features such as telescopic front suspension, digital instrument cluster, 14-inch wheels, front and rear disc brakes, CBS braking, USB charger, 12-litre glove box, 43-litre underseat storage, multiple ride modes including reverser mode and much more.
