Ola Electric Commences Deliveries Of The S1 Pro Gen 2 Electric Scooter In India
Ola Electric has commenced the deliveries of the new Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter in India. This new electric scooter is built on a new hybrid frame instead of the older tubular frame that was previously used with the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter.
At present, the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter is priced at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom). Moreover, Ola Electric has made the model very accessible to buyers with interesting finance schemes with EMIs starting at Rs 3,299.
Speaking about the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter, the model looks quite identical to the older Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. However, a closer look reveals that the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 sports a more practical flat footboard and tubular rear grab handle.
These changes are the result of the new hybrid chassis. However, the underseat storage has now been reduced by 2 litres to just 34 litres. Other improvements include simplification of components including a more simplified electric motor with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU).
Speaking about performance, the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter packs in a new electric motor with 11kW (14.75bhp) peak power. Thanks to this new powertrain, the model can accelerate to 40km/h in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 120km/h.
Furthermore, the certified range of the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter is rated at 195 kilometres. Also, using a home charger, the scooter can be charged to 100 per cent capacity in just 6.5 hours.
That being said, the resolution of the screen has been now reduced to just 800x480, which is apparently less than its predecessor. It is also worth mentioning that the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 now comes with conventional telescopic front suspension as the Ola S1 Air electric scooter.

Though the new Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter may look similar to the older generation Ola S1 Pro electric scooter, the company has made significant changes to the model. As a result, the model turns out to be significantly improved.
