Ola S1 Air Vs Ola S1 Pro – Top 5 Differences
Ola Electric has decided to extend the introductory price offer on the new Ola S1 Air electric scooter till August 15. However, post this timeframe, customers have to shell out an additional Rs 10,000.
This means prices for the Ola S1 Air will jump to Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) once the offer period expires. As such, here's a quick comparison of the Ola S1 Air with the top-spec Ola S1 Pro.

Design
Both the Ola S1 Air and the Ola S1 Pro carry the same basic design elements. However, the Ola S1 Air comes with a kind of dual-tone shade effect, but not necessarily one that lends a premium look. Moreover, the Ola S1 Air features a simpler tubular grab handle.
Hardware
The Ola S1 Air comes with slightly different hardware than the more premium Ola S1 Pro. For starters, the Ola S1 Air features a conventional telescopic front suspension at the front and dual shocks at the rear.

Other than this, the Ola S1 Air also sorts 12-inch steel wheels instead of 12-inch alloy wheels on the Ola S1 Pro. As a result, the Ola S1 Air comes with drum brakes at both ends, whereas the Ola S1 Pro is equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear.
Powertrain
The new Ola S1 Air electric scooter is powered by an all-new 4.5kW hub-mounted electric motor. Also, this model is said to sport a smaller 3kWh battery pack. In comparison, the Ola S1 Pro uses an 8.5kW electric motor and a bigger 4kWh battery pack.

Features
The new Ola S1 Air is expected to get similar features as the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. However, a few features are likely to be locked to maintain the premium positioning of the Ola S1 Pro.
That being said, a noticeable difference is that the 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster in the Ola S1 Air has a lower resolution (800 x 480 pixels) compared to the 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster in the Ola S1 Pro. The latter has a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

Price
As mentioned, prices for the Ola S1 Air will jump to Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) once the offer period expires. In comparison, the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Thoughts About Ola S1 Air & Ola S1 Pro
For most people with regular office commutes, the Ola S1 Air will be more than sufficient. However, for just Rs 20,000 more, the Ola S1 Pro comes with a more powerful electric motor and offers better range as well.
