MS Dhoni Gets Customised Jawa 42 Bobber Motorcycle – Check Out All The Details Here
MS Dhoni needs no introduction in India. The 42-year-old former Indian Cricket Team captain is known for remarkable finishing skills, cool-headed demeanour, unorthodox captaincy, and lightning-fast glove work behind the stumps.
Though a formidable cricketer, Dhoni's passion does not end with bat and ball. In fact, Dhoni is an avid automobile enthusiast and has a large garage filled with vintage and rare cars and bikes. Some of the collected bikes include Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, Kawasaki Ninja H2, Yamaha RD350, and more.
Now, the latest motorcycle to enter Dhoni's garage is the Jawa 42 Bobber motorcycle priced at Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable bobber-styled motorcycles in India.
However, this particular example of Jawa 42 Bobber is not a regular model but a customised one. Noticeable changes include a special Bottle Green paint, golden stripes, customised seat and a yellow-tinted headlight.
Looking at the images, this special Bottle Green Jawa 42 Bobber motorcycle seems to be a gift from Skipper Pipes, a polymer pipes and fittings company. Earlier, this company announced MS Dhoni as its brand ambassador along with Chris Gayle.
Speaking about the Jawa 42 Bobber, the motorcycle draws its power from a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 29.49bhp and 32.7Nm of torque. This powertrain comes mated to a 6-speed transmission, coupled with an Assist & Slipper Clutch for smoother shifts and lighter clutch action.
Suspension-wise, the Jawa 42 Bobber comes equipped with 35mm telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable gas-filled mono-shock at the rear with pre-load adjustment. The motorcycle also features a 280mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear.
To make sure the braking is effective, the company has also equipped the Jawa 42 Bobber with a dual-channel ABS unit. At the front, the Jawa 42 Bobber uses a 100/90 R18 tyre, whereas the rear sports a wider 140/70 R17 tyre.
