Kawasaki ZX-4R Launch Today – Ready To Scream
Kawasaki is all geared up to launch the new Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle in the Indian market today. This new supersport motorcycle from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is expected to be launched in 3 variants.
In the international markets, the 3 variants of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle include ZX-4R, ZX-4R SE, and ZX-4RR. Out of these 3 variants, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is the sportiest of the lot with numerous performance-enhancing parts.
That being said, the highlight of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R supersport motorcycle is its powertrain. This 399cc powertrain uses a high-revving 4-cylinder, DOHC set up to produce 75.9bhp. Furthermore, this engine is capable of revving up to 15,000rpm.
According to Kawasaki, the engine in the ZX-4R is capable of producing an additional 3bhp with RAM air intake system. Also, to fully utilise this power, the Kawasaki ZX-4R comes with a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch.
In terms of suspension, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle comes equipped with Showa's advanced SFF-BP forks at the front, whereas the rear sports a horizontal back-link suspension that is similar to the Ninja ZX-10R.
It is also worth mentioning that the top-spec Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR motorcycle features more advanced Showa BFRC-lite shocks at the rear for more feel for the rider and better handling.
Braking duties on the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R are handled by two 290mm semi-floating disc brakes at the front, which are grabbed by a pair of radially mounted monobloc calipers. On the other hand, the rear features a single 220mm disc setup.
Some of the noticeable features of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R supersport motorcycle include all-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch full-colour digital instrument cluster, KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), bi-directional quick shifter (Kawasaki Quick Shifter), and multiple ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider).
