IBW 2023: Kawasaki W175 Street Launched At Rs 1.35 Lakh
Kawasaki W175 Street launched at India Bike Week 2023. The Kawasaki W175 Street is priced at Rs 1.35 Lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) and is offered in two colour options - Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey.
The Kawasaki W175 Street is the entry-level motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer for the Indian market. The W175 Street sits below the regular W175 in the manufacturer's lineup and brings a few changes compared to that motorcycle.

In terms of design, the W175 Street retains the circular headlight and mirrors along with the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, the single-piece seat and the chunky exhaust from the W175. Where the W175 Street differs from the W175 are the wheels, with the new bike sporting alloy wheels that come shod with tubeless tyres.
The other mechanical bits on the W175 Street are carried over from the Kawasaki W175. These include the fule-injected, 177cc, air-cooled engine that produces 12.8bhp at 7,500rpm and 13.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine continues to be paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The Kawasaki W175 Street also retains the steel, double-cradle frame setup of the W175 which is suspended a off conventional fork at the front and twin shocks at the rear. The new 17-inch alloy wheels come shod with 80/100 (front) and 100/90 (rear) tubeless tyres.
Braking duties on the Kawasaki W175 Street are carried out by a 245mm disc at the front that is clamped down by two-piston floating callipers while the rear sports a 110mm drum brake. The braking setup on the W175 Street is aided by single-channel ABS.
The new Kawasaki W175 Street is 2,007mm long, 806mm wide, 1,050mm tall and sports a 1,323mm long wheelbase. The seat height is 786.5mm and the W175 Street offers 152mm of ground clearance. The Kawasaki W175 Street weighs 135.2kg and has a fuel capacity of 12.1 litres.
Thoughts About The Kawasaki W175 Street
The launch of the Kawasaki W175 Street sees the Japanese retro motorcycle adopt the street moniker while swapping out its spoked wheels and tubed tyres for a set of alloys and tubeless rubber. The slight drop in the price tag is nice, but it still feels too expensive for what's on offer.
