Rock and Rides: Jawa Yezdi At Independence Rock Festival!
The longstanding ties between the music of rock 'n' roll and the world of motorcycles can be traced back as far as your dad's old-school denim jacket and classic aviator sunglasses. In a time when free spirits and riders challenged societal norms, they became figures of immense influence. Honoring this history, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles enthusiastically proclaims its ongoing collaboration with Independence Rock, India’s preeminent rock 'n' roll festival, now on its 29th year.
Also dubbed as India's 'Woodstock’, the two-day festival took place on November 4-5, 2023 at the widely-known Bayview Lawns, Princess Dock, Mazagaon in South Mumbai. It offered a harmonious mix of hardcore music, motorcycle culture, and modern lifestyle.

Aligned with Jawa Yezdi Nomads' ethos of 'discovery’ and fostering new talents, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles wholeheartedly backed rising talents through a national band search at the 'Jawa Yezdi New Sound Stage’ during the festival.Additionally, noted icons of the Indian rock scene such as Parikrama, Agam, Bhayanak Maut, Swarathma, and others delivered electrifying performances at the country's biggest rock-n-roll congregation.
The festival distinguished itself with performances from new talents covering various genres and languages. There were artists from all over India and even from Nepal. Moreover, the festival delved into the diverse soundscape of Indian classical and folk music, blending instruments like the mridangam and flute with electric guitar solos and compelling drum beats.

Furthermore, the festival featured an experience zone for the Jawa Yezdi Kommuniti, displaying some of their iconic models like the Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror, Jawa 42, Yezdi Roadster, and Yezdi Adventure.Alongside its motorcycles, the brand’s range of lifestyle accessories were also displayed, attracting the attention of the audience. The event was graced by the presence of 100 Jawa Yezdi Kommuniti members who rode in on their motorcycles from different cities across the country.
CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, Mr. Ashish Singh Joshi, expressed his sentiments on the brand's involvement in such cultural collaborations, "Historically speaking, motorcycling and rock-n-roll are two sides of the same coin, and our partnership with Independence Rock aligns perfectly with our brand philosophy. Such cultural partnership stands as a testament to Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles' potential to explore boundaries and transcend the traditional motorcycle landscape."
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles' venture into cultural affiliations emphasizes its pledge to enhance its customers' lives and cultivate a genuine sense of adventure and reminiscence. The recent success of its cultural collaborations like the popular Covelong Surf Festival, graffiti art initiatives, skateboarding promotions, and musical events such as Ladakh International Musical Festival [LIMF], fortifies this commitment.
