EICMA: Honda Surprises Fans With CBR600RR Supersport
The EICMA 2023 has so far been very exciting, and Honda surprised many of its fans by showcasing the iconic Honda CBR600RR motorcycle. This legendary motorcycle has been absent in the European motorcycle market for more than 6 years.
Also, the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle has received plenty of updates including aerodynamic winglets, twin-pod LED headlights, and central air intakes. However, Honda has retained the iconic underseat exhaust - Which apparently is a design feature that is non-existent in new bikes.

Looking into details, the new aerodynamic winglets have been placed to improve straight line and cornering stability, whereas the slim twin-pod LED headlamps lend the bike with very aggressive look.
To make the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle more alive, Honda has given the model its signature triple-tone colour combination consisting of Red, Blue, and White shades. This colour combination also helps many Honda fans better associate with the motorcycle.

Powering the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle is a 599cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This engine in the Honda CBR600RR is tuned to produce 119bhp at 14,250rpm and 63Nm of peak torque at 11,500rpm.
The new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle also comes with a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch. However, we are not sure if Honda has equipped the new CBR600RR motorcycle with a quickshifter.

In terms of electronics, the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle comes equipped with features such as six-ais IMU, cornering ABS, a nine-level traction control, wheelie control, engine braking management, an ECU-controlled electronic steering damper, and a full-colour TFT display.
Coming to the hardware, the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle uses 41mm USD forks at the front and Honda Pro-link mono suspension at the rear. It is also worth mentioning that both suspension units are fully adjustable.

To cater to the demanding requirements of track duties, the new Honda CBR600RR uses a pair of 310mm disc brakes at the front grabbed by four-piston calipers, whereas the rear features a 220mm disc brake with a single-piston caliper. Also, the model features Dunlop Roadsport 2 tyres.
Thoughts About The New Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR600RR is an iconic motorcycle and we expect the return of it to please many Honda fans in Europe. Also, it is great to see Honda retain the iconic underseat exhaust on the new Honda CBR600RR.

Honda is not expected to bring the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle to India given the lack of demand for middle-weight motorcycles in India. However, 600cc fans could still by the Honda CBR 650R for Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
