Hero Destini 125 Prime Variant Launched At Rs 71,499 – Best Bang For Your Buck
The festive season is a great time for four and two-wheeler manufacturers in India to boost their respective sales figures. As such, almost all automobile manufacturers introduce exciting offers or new variants during this time.
Keeping with the trend, Hero Motocorp has also introduced a new more affordable variant of the Hero Destini 125 scooter in India ahead of the festive season. This newly introduced Hero Destini 125 Prime variant is priced at Rs 71,499 (ex-showroom).
In comparison, the top-spec Hero Destini 125 Xtec VX version is priced at Rs 85,738 (ex-showroom). This means the newly launched Hero Destini 125 Prime is more than Rs 14,000 cheaper than the top-spec variant of the scooter.
To achieve such an aggressive price tag, Hero Motocorp has stuck to the basics and removed anything 'Fancy' from the Destini 125 scooter. Some of the noticeable changes include simple body-coloured mirrors, and a simple single-piece grand handle.
However, the newly launched Hero Destini 125 Prime variant is not a 'Spartan' either. The model continues to come with all the essential features such as start/stop button, semi-digital instrument cluster, underseat lamp, and underseat charging port.
Coming to the hardware, the Hero Destini 125 Prime variant only features 10-inch steel rims on both ends instead of alloy wheels in the top-spec Xtec VX variant. However, the model does retain the telescopic suspension at the front and mono suspension at the rear.
That being said, the new Hero Destini 125 Prime remains mechanically identical to other variants and uses the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces 9bhp and 10.36Nm of torque.
Since the newly launched Hero Destini 125 Prime variant is the base variant, the model is offered in just two colour options. These colour options include Pearl Silver White, and Nexus Blue Nobel Red.
Thoughts: The newly launched Hero Destini 125 scooter is expected to attract the attention of buyers with a tight budget. Moreover, at this price range, we think the model is more than well equipped as well - Proving to be a very good VFM product.
