Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single-Channel ABS Variant Discontinued – Check Out All Details Here
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 motorcycle sits in between the sportier Pulsar NS160 motorcycle and the more commuter-ish Pulsar N150 motorcycle. At the time of launch, the Pulsar N160 was available in both single and dual-channel ABS variants.
Now, Bajaj has silently discontinued the single-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar N160. This decision is likely to have been taken due to better sales of the dual-channel ABS variant compared to the single-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar N160.

That being said, after discontinuing the single-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar N160 motorcycle, the starting price of the model has shot up to Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom), which could potentially make the motorcycle look a bit too expensive for a few buyers in the segment.
However, we do not expect this 'price hike' effect to have any significant effect on the sales figures of the motorcycle as many customers prefer the dual-channel ABS variant of the motorcycle over the single-channel ABS variant.
It is also worth mentioning that the Bajaj Pulsar N160 dual-channel ABS variant also comes with better hardware. This consists of a bigger 300mm disc brake at the front and a beefier 37mm forks at the front.
In comparison, the now-discontinued Bajaj Pulsar N160 single-channel variant motorcycle comes equipped with a thinner 31mm telescopic suspension at the front and a smaller 280mm disc brake at the front.
Coming to the powertrain, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 motorcycle is powered by a bigger 164.82cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine puts out a healthier 15.7bhp at 8,750rpm and 14.65Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm.
Like most motorcycles in the 150cc to 160cc segment, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 motorcycle uses a familiar 5-speed manual transmission. This gearbox is good for city commutes and occasional long rides.
Thoughts About The Bajaj Pulsar N160 Motorcycle
By discontinuing the Bajaj Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS variant, the starting price of the model may not look attractive anymore. However, we do not expect this to have much change in terms of sales figures of the model in future.
