Bajaj Chetak Prices Updated – Offer Valid For Short Time
The Bajaj Chetak is among the best-looking scooters you can buy in India. Moreover, the fit and finish of this scooter is second to none. This gives the Bajaj Chetak a very premium feel.
Now, ahead of the festive season, Bajaj has revised the prices for the Chetak electric scooter in India to further attract customers and capitalise on the sales push achieved during the festive season.
According to Bajaj, with the revised price tag in place, prices for the new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter now starts from Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this price will be applicable for a short time period only.
Speaking about the Bajaj Chetak, the electric scooter is powered by a 2.9kW lithium-ion battery pack. Also, the 3-phase electric motor in the Bajaj Chetak puts out 4.2kW of power and 20Nm of torque at 1,950rpm.
Thanks to this powertrain setup, the manufacturer claims that the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter can travel up to 90 kilometres in Eco mode and 80 kilometres in Sports mode. The Bajaj Chetak also comes with a 230V portable charger that can be plugged into a 5A household socket.
Some of the noticeable features of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter include all LED lighting, riding modes, reversing function, hill-hold assist, roll-over detection, USB charging socket, keyless function, 4G connectivity, and over-the-air updates.
In terms of practicality, the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter sports an 18-litre underseat storage space, and a large 4-litre glovebox. Moreover, the Bajaj Chetak features a very easily repairable all-metal body.
There is also a Premium Edition of the Chetak, which comes with a dual-tone seat along with very premium-looking body-coloured rear view mirrors, pillion footrest castings, and rear grab rail. Furthermore, the models also sports charcoal black headlamp casings, blinkers and full-colour LCD display.
That being said, the Chetak dealership network spans across more than 60 cities in India, and the company is planning to expand to more than 100 stores in 85+ cities across the country.
Thoughts: At Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is still on the expensive side. However, it is still one of the best electric scooters you can buy if you are willing to sacrifice some of the on-paper specifications.
