Auto Expo 2023: Keeway SR250 Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 1.49 Lakh
The Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer Keeway has launched the SR250 neo-retro motorcycle at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) at the Auto Expo 2023.
Apart from that, the newly launched Keeway SR250 motorcycle rivals the likes of other motorcycles in the segment such as the TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Kawasaki W175.
That being said, the Keeway SR250 is the second model in the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer's SR line-up of motorcycles after the SR125. On top of that, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle sports a few noticeable design elements such as a circular headlamp, turn indicators, instrument cluster with chrome surrounds, tail lamps, unhinged chrome fuel filler cap, cylindrical brake fluid reservoir, knobbed tyres, spoked wheels, black fork boots, ribbed seats and a few more.
In terms of features, the new Keeway SR250 neo-retro motorcycle comes with all the necessary features such as dual-channel ABS, a coloured digital instrument cluster, side stand engine cut-off, LED DRLs, a hazard switch, an adjustable rear suspension, telescopic front suspension, a 300mm front disc brake, a 210mm rear disc brake, and few more.
Coming to the powertrain, the new Keeway SR250 motorcycle is powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. This power unit is tuned to push out 16bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 16Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Though the power figures seem a bit underpowered, the Keeway SR250 is a very lightweight motorcycle tipping scales at just 120kg (Dry).
Also, unlike the Keeway SR125, the new Keeway SR250 seems priced more reasonably. Furthermore, it is also worth mentioning that the new Keeway SR250 could be shortlisted by more number of buyers as the neo-reto motorcycle is priced below most of its competitors in the country.

Overall, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle will appeal to those who like retro motorcycles and the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer has done a decent job of designing the motorcycle with all the right design elements. Apart from that, the aggressive price tag will push more people to shortlist the new Keeway SR250 motorcycle.
