IBW 2023: Aprilia RS 457 Launched At Rs 4.10 Lakh
Aprilia RS 457 launched at India Bike Week 2023. Aprilia has launched the RS 457 in India at an introductory price of Rs lakh (ex-showroom).
The Italian sports bike manufacturer which is part of the Piaggio Group had revealed the RS 457 at the Misano race track ahead of the San Marino Moto GP race in September.

While the RS 457 was designed in Italy, it will be produced at Aprilia's Baramati facility in Maharashtra. The made-in-India Aprilia RS 457 will go up against the likes of the KTM RC390, Yamaha R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 400 on our roads.
Powering the all-new Aprilia RS 457 is a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine producing 46bhp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm. The DOHC engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The new Aprilia RS 457 sports a twin-spar aluminium frame suspended off a 41mm inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear both of which offer preload adjustment. The front offers 120mm of travel while the rear allows for 130mm of wheel travel.

The Aprilia RS 457 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that come shod with 110-section (front) and 150-section (rear) TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc with 4-piston radial callipers, and a 220mm rear disc with 2-piston sliding callipers that are aided by dual-channel ABS.
The Aprilia RS 457 sports a ride-by-wire system that allows for three riding modes while the traction control system also offers three modes that riders can switch between.
The new RS 457 from Aprilia sports a 5-inch TFT display with optional Bluetooth connectivity along with a full LED lighting system. The RS 457 supersports motorcycle weighs in at 175kg (kerb) and sports a 13 litre fuel tank. The Aprilia RS 457's seat sits 800mm above the ground.
In terms of design, the Aprilia RS 457 sports a familiar look. The new RS 457 takes its styling cues from the larger RS 660 and the litre-class RSv4. The fully-faired RS 457 sports a sharp triple LED headlamp setup at the front along with an aggressive side fairing and seat setup and a narrow tail section that hosts the full LED taillamps.
The Aprilia RS 457 is offered in three colour options - Prismatic Dark, Opalescent Light and Racing Stripes.
Thoughts About The Aprilia RS 457
The Aprilia RS 457 is the first motorcycle from the Italian marque to be produced here in India, but that hasn't stopped them from slapping a big price tag on its first bike offering for our country.
