2023 KTM 390 Adventure Revealed - Gets Spoked Wheels & Tubed Tyres
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has revealed the updated 390 Adventure. The updated 2023 KTM 390 Adventure gets spoked wheels with tubeless tyres and new graphics among other changes.
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has revealed the updated 390 Adventure. The updated 2023 KTM 390 Adventure gets a major mechanical change along with other upgrades.
The biggest change for the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure comes in the form of its wheels. The 2023 KTM 390 Adventure now rides on aluminium wire-spoked wheels (19 inches at the front and 17 at the rear).
KTM already offers these wire-spoked wheels to customers in India but they do not come as part of the standard kit fitted to the bike. Instead, the spoked wheels are offered up as part of the KTM PowerParts accessories catalogue.
KTM will continue to offer the cast alloy wheels though those looking to make the bike live up to its name will prefer the new wire-spoked wheels which are far less likely to bend when you're bouncing about off the beaten path. These new wire-spoked wheels are shod with tubed tyres.
Other changes on the new 2023 390 Adventure from KTM help enhance the cosmetic side of the bike. The frame of the 2023 390 Adventure is finished off in KTM's iconic bright orange paint scheme. The Austrian adventure bike which is produced in Bajaj's Chakan plant also sports new graphics on the body panels and the orange paint colour showcased in the images of the bike seen here.
Every other bit of the new 2023 KTM 390 Adventure remains unchanged from the bike that was sold before. The 390 Adventure still draws power from the 373cc single-cylinder engine that produces 44bhp and 37Nm of peak torque. The gearbox too is the same - a 6-speed manual unit fitted with a quickshifter.
The KTM 390 Adventure retains the same steel trellis frame as before with adjustable WP Apex (standard kit for the bike sold in Europe and elsewhere but not in India) suspension setup for both the front and the rear.
Braking duties continue to be taken care of by Brembo Bybre disc brakes - 320mm at the front and 230mm at the rear with the unit at the front clamped down by 4 piston callipers.
The KTM 390 Adventure for 2023 continues to come packed with features like ride-by-wire, traction control, cornering ABS, an off-road mode, off-road ABS and a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
Thoughts About The 2023 KTM 390 Adventure
The 2023 KTM 390 Adventure brings new spoked wheels along with tubed tyres and new graphics that should make it an even more tempting choice for off-road enthusiasts looking for a light and nimble bike. We just hope that KTM brings the adjustable suspension setup to the India-spec bike.
