2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F To Be Launched Soon In India – Bookings Open
Bajaj is expected to soon relaunch the Pulsar 220F motorcycle in India and multiple dealerships have announced that bookings for the legendary Pulsar motorcycle is now open.
That being said, last year, production of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F motorcycle was stopped and the model was subsequently removed from the official website in order to push the new Bajaj Pulsar F250 motorcycle.
In fact, the new Bajaj Pulsar F250 was positioned as the successor to the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. However, the newer motorcycle simply could not replicate the success of its predecessor and sales numbers were hovering at three-digit figures. We suspect this could be the reason to resurrect the Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
Though it may seem like the Bajaj Pulsar 220F might struggle to compete with newer motorcycles in the market, the truth cannot be any further as the motorcycle was able to generate a decent number of sales even before it was deemed to be discontinued in India. With such a strong fan base, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F can help Bajaj improve its overall sales figures.
We expect the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 220F to be offered in two colour options - Black with Red, and Black with Blue. Furthermore, we expect the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 220F to sport minimal changes in design and the motorcycle will continue to come equipped with clip-on handlebars, split seats, fairing-mounted ORVMs, projector headlamp (low beam) and a few more iconic design elements.
In terms of specifications, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 220F will come with an upgraded powertrain. This new powertrain will be compatible with the upcoming BS6 2 emission norms as well. Also, we expect the model to produce 21bhp of peak power and 19Nm of peak torque from its 220cc, single-cylinder engine. Also, the engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
