Yamaha Hikes Prices Of Motorcycles In India - R15M WGP 60th Edition Now Costs More Than Rs 1.91 Lakh
Yamaha Motor India has hiked the prices of its motorcycles this October. However, not all models received the price hike as Yamaha exempted a few of the models from price hike as the two-wheeler manufacturer hiked the prices of its motorcycles and scooters a month ago.
According to Yamaha Motor India, the prices of motorcycles such as Yamaha FZ-Fi, FZS-Fi, FZS-Fi Deluxe, R15S, R15 V4 Mettalic Red, R15 V4 Dark Knight, R15 V4 Racing Blue, and R15M MotoGP Edition have been kept without any changes.
On the other hand, a price hike of Rs 1,000 is applicable on models such as Yamaha FZ-X, FZ 25, FZS 25, R15M V4 Mettalic Grey and R15M WGP 60th Edition. Moreover, a price hike of Rs 500 is applicable on motorcycles such as Yamaha MT15 Black, MT 15 Ice Fluo, MT15 Cyan, and MT15 Blue.
Under the new prices, the Yamaha FZ-X motorcycle is now priced at Rs 1,33,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the prices for the Yamaha FZ 25 range now starts at Rs 1,47,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Yamaha FZS 25 is now priced at Rs 1,52,00 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
That being said, the Yamaha MT 15 range has received the least price hike of Rs 500, and the prices for the Yamaha MT15 range starts at Rs 1,63,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Black colour variant. On the other hand, prices for the Yamaha MT 15 Ice Fluo, Cyan, and Blue stands at Rs 1,64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Coming to the Yamaha R15 range of motorcycles, only two variants of the motorcycle has been subjected to price hike. Thanks to the price hike, the Yamaha R15 V4 Metallic Grey is now priced at Rs 1,89,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the Yamaha R15M WGP 60th Edition is priced at Rs 1,91,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
As mentioned earlier, the standard Yamaha FZ range including Yamaha FZ-Fi, FZS-Fi and FZS-Fi Deluxe motorcycles have been exempted from price hike and prices of the motorcycles start at Rs 1,13,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
On the other hand, prices for the Yamaha scooter range starts at Rs 76,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Yamaha Fascino Hybrid scooter 'Drum' variant finished in Red / Yellow / Cyan / Black. On the other hand, the top-spec Yamaha Fascino Hybrid 'Disc SE' variant is priced at Rs 87,030 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Also, prices for the Yamaha Aerox maxi-scooter starts at Rs 1,39,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes all the way up to Rs 1,41,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the MotoGP Edition of the Aerox maxi-scooter.
Thoughts About Yamaha Motor India's Latest Price Hike
While Yamaha hiked the prices of just a few motorcycles this month, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer could have waited a month more to hike the prices as it is currently the festive season.
