Upcoming Royal Enfield Motorcycle Teased Again
Royal Enfield has released yet another teaser of its upcoming motorcycle. The latest teaser released by Royal Enfield hints that its upcoming motorcycle will be unveiled at the EICMA 2022, Milan. On top of that, the short teaser video partially reveals the silhouette of the fuel tank of its upcoming motorcycle against the backdrop consisting of a starlit sky in Space.

The teaser video of the upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle was released on Twitter with the caption "Astral. Celestial. Interstellar. Booth number i-10, Pavilion 15, EICMA 2022, Milan.". It is also worth mentioning that Royal Enfield recently registered the name 'Constellation'.
This new name could be used for the company's upcoming 650cc cruiser motorcycle. On top of that, the earlier teaser image also hints at the potential launch of a cruiser motorcycle based on the 650cc platform.

Earlier, this 650cc cruiser motorcycle was being called the 'Super Meteor 650' by many automotive journalists in the country. However, since the name is yet to be confirmed, we will continue to mention Royal Enfield's upcoming 650cc cruiser motorcycle as the Super Meteor 650.

Speaking about the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, the upcoming motorcycle will use the same 650cc, parallel-twin engine from the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycles. This engine in the above-mentioned motorcycles produces 47bhp of peak power at 7,100rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. Moreover, this powertrain comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

However, we are not sure if Royal Enfield will retune this powertrain to suit the character of the cruiser-style nature of the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorcycle. That being said, the powertrain characteristic of this engine is already very relaxed and comes with a heft dose of torque at lower revs for effortless cruising - Making it an ideal powertrain for a cruiser motorcycle.

Diving into the details, the upcoming Royal Enfield cruiser 650 motorcycle is expected to have a massive road presence despite sharing many mechanical bits from other 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycles such as the Continental GT650 and Interceptor 650 motorcycles. On top of that, the upcoming motorcycle will also share a few electrical components from other Royal Enfield motorcycles.

These mechanical bits include the braking and suspension components from the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT650 motorcycles, whereas the electrical parts such as the instrument cluster and switch gear are likely to be borrowed from the more affordable Royal Enfield Meteor 350 motorcycle.

It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle is expected to sport a large 20-litre fuel tank, which will ensure minimal stops between refuellings. We expect Royal Enfield to price the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 650 motorcycle with a starting price of around Rs 3.30 lakh, ex-showroom.

Thoughts About Royal Enfield's Upcoming Motorcycle
The launch of the 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle will attract a lot of customers looking for a powerful cruiser motorcycle with a relatively affordable price tag. However, we have to wait a bit longer to confirm this.
