Though Ultraviolette Automotive has taken its sweet time to announce the launch of the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle, it finally has and the wait for the uber-cool looking Ulatraviolette F77 electric motorcycle is almost over. So, if you are one of those people who had been waiting for the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle for the last 5 years, here's everything we know so far about the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle.
Launch
Starting with the big news, Ulatraviolette Automotive has decided to launch its first electric motorcycle, Ultraviolette F77. At present, Ultraviolette has planned a phase-wise roll-out of the F77 electric motorcycle, starting with Bangalore, and the electric motorcycle is scheduled to be launched on 24 November.
In addition to that, the startup EV maker is also planning to launch the F77 electric motorcycle in Europe and US markets as well.
Variants
According to details previously revealed by Ulatraviolette automotive, the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle will be available in three different variants - Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser.
Features
When launched, the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 is most likely to be positioned as a premium electric motorcycle. As such, the Ultraviolette F77 comes loaded with state-of-the-art features such as a full-LED lighting system, a large full-colour TFT dash, 3 ride modes, integrated eSim with LTE connectivity, 9-axis IMU, shock and impact sensors, customisable profiles and a lot more.
Chassis, Suspension, & Brakes
Under the stylish and futuristic body panels of the Ultraviolette F77, the electric motorcycle features an equally sophisticated steel trellis frame with an aluminium bulkhead.
In terms of suspension, the startup EV maker has not cut any corners giving the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle many premium suspension setup such as an inverted cartridge-type fork at the front and a gas-charged pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear.
On the other hand, the braking system also consists of really good hardware consisting of a large 320mm disc at the front with a 4-piston radial caliper, and a 230mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. In addition to that, the Ultraviolette F77 also comes with dual-channel ABS for even more controlled braking performance.
Powertrain & Performance
Coming to the powertrain setup, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle comes equipped with a powerful electric motor capable of pushing out 33.52bhp at 2,250rpm and a peak torque output of 90Nm.
Thanks to this powertrain setup, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle can sprint to 60km/h from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds and reach 100km/h in 7.5 seconds. In terms of topspeed, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle is capable of achieving 147km/h according to the official website.
Battery Pack & Charging
The Ultraviolet F77 electric motorcycle comes with a large enough 4.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack (three modular Li-ion battery packs). Speaking about the battery pack, it is also worth mentioning that the Ulatraviolette F77 weighs just 158kgs despite the large battery pack.
In terms of charging, the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle comes with a CCS charge port and it takes approximately 5 hours to charge the battery pack to its full capacity using a standard charging point. However, the charging time can be reduced to just 1.5 hours using a suitable fast charger.
Expected Price
Since the Ulatraviolette F77 will be positioned as a premium electric motorcycle, we expect Ultraviolette Automotive to price the Ultraviolette F77 anywhere between Rs 3.10 lakh to Rs 3.75 lakh in India.
