Ultraviolette F77 Electric Motorcycle To Be Launched In November 2022 - The Wait Is Finally Over

While Ultraviolette has been on the EV radar for almost 5 years, the delays caused by the pandemic pushed the launch of the electric motorcycle in the country. On the bright side, this has given the EV maker more than enough time to thoroughly test the F77 electric motorcycle and iron out any niggles. Apart from that, the startup company is backed by the Hosur-based two-wheeler giant, TVS Motors.

When launched, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle will be available in three different variants - Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser. Being a premium electric motorcycle, the Ultraviolette F77 comes loaded with features such as a full-LED lighting system, a large full-colour TFT dash, 3 ride modes, integrated eSim with LTE connectivity, 9-axis IMU, shock and impact sensors, customisable profiles and lot more.

Speaking about the Ultraviolette F77, the electric motorcycle features a steel trellis frame with an aluminium bulkhead. Moreover, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle also comes with many premium parts such as an inverted cartridge-type fork at the front and a gas-charged pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. On the other hand, the braking duty is carried by a large 320mm disc at the front with a 4-piston radial caliper, and a 230mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. For even more effective braking, the Ultraviolette F77 also comes with dual-channel ABS.

Matching the premium hardware is an electric motor capable of producing 33.52bhp at 2,250rpm and a peak torque output of 90Nm. This powertrain setup enables the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle to sprint from a standstill to 60km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach 100km/h in 7.5 seconds. In addition to that, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle also has a top speed of 147km/h according to the official website - Making highway rides a breeze.

Powering this powerful electric motor on the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle is a 4.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack (three modular Li-ion battery packs). However, despite this large battery pack, and powerful electric motor, the Ultraviolette F77 weighs just 158kgs.

Thanks to its low kerb weight, regen braking, and other power management techno-wizardry, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle to take full advantage of the large battery pack. In addition to that, the Ultraviolette F77 comes with a CCS charge port and it takes approximately 5 hours to charge the battery pack to its full capacity using a standard charging point. However, the charging time is slashed to just 1.5 hours using a suitable fast charger.

We expect Ultraviolette F77 to be priced anywhere between Rs 3.10 lakh to Rs 3.75 lakh in India. Earlier, Ultraviolette had released a teaser video of its upcoming F77 electric motorcycle as well. The 58-second teaser video reveals different angles of the electric motorcycle and the teaser video ends with a note saying "THE FUTURE TAKES OFF WITH US".
