Two-Wheeler Sales (November 2022) - Hero, Honda & TVS Take Podium Spots
India's two-wheeler (retail) market grew by 23.61 per cent Year-over-Year compared to November 2021. Two-wheeler manufacturers sold a total of 18,47,708 units last month.
India's two-wheeler (retail) market grew by 23.61 per cent Year-over-Year compared to November 2021 with over 18 lakh new two-wheeled vehicles hitting the streets last month.
Retail two-wheeler sales stood at 18,47,708 units last month which was 3,52,911 units more than the 14,94,797 units sold in November 2021.
The sales charts were once again dominated by the usual suspects with Hero, Honda and TVS taking the podium spots while surging electric vehicle sales saw EV players like Ola, Ampere and Okinawa all make the top 10.
Hero's retail numbers for the month of November 2022 stood at 6,36,064 units. Hero's sales numbers were up by 86,621 units or 15.77 per cent compared to November 2021 when it sold 5,49,443 units.
In second spot was Honda with the Japanese firm selling 4,62,163 two-wheelers in India last month. Honda's Y-o-Y sales were up by 95,677 units or 26.11 per cent compared to November 2021 when it sold 3,66,486 units.
TVS claimed the final podium spot with the Chennai-based two-wheeler firm selling 2,70,551 units last month. Y-o-Y sales numbers were up by 49,772 units or 22.54 per cent compared to 2,20,779 units sold by TVS last November.
Bajaj was next on the list with the Pune-based manufacturer clocking in 2,10,551 units last month. Bajaj's sales were up by 38,522 units or 22.39 per cent over November 2021 when it sold 1,72,029 units.
Suzuki was next on the list with the Japanese firm selling 72,172 units last month which was a Year-over-Year growth of 23,190 units or 47.34 per cent. Suzuki sold 48,982 two-wheelers in November 2021.
Up next on the list is retro-bike specialist Royal Enfield with the Chennai-based manufacturer selling 69,211 motorcycles last month. RE's Y-o-Y numbers were up by 32,062 or 86.31 per cent compared to November 2021's 37,149 units.
Yamaha claimed 7th spot selling 53,560 units last month. Yamaha's Y-o-Y numbers were up by 6,392 units or 13.55 per cent compared to November 2021 when it sold 47,168 units.
Bringing up the final three places on the top 10 two-wheeler manufacturers list for November were all EV manufacturers. Ola was in 8th spot with 16,306 units sold last month with Ampere and Okinawa claiming the final two spots selling 12,257 units and 9,059 units respectively in November 2022.

India's two-wheeler market continues to grow steadily and in November 2022 saw numbers surge close to pre-Covid pandemic numbers as EV sales continued to surge.
