TVS Raider 125 To Get Major Update - Launch On October 19

Now, a year later after the launch of the TVS Raider 125 motorcycle in India, TVS Motor is gearing up to launch an updated iteration of the 125cc motorcycle in India on October 19. While general updates consist of a few cosmetic upgrades, we expect this new upcoming update to bring a lot more features to the motorcycle.

Also, the series of teasers released by the two-wheeler manufacturer also confirms that the upcoming updated TVS Raider 125 motorcycle will sport numerous connected features. Moreover, at the time of launch TVS Motor confirmed that the TVS Raider will get a new variant with a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with Smart Xonnect connectivity.

As such, we expect this updated model comes with features such as Bluetooth connectivity, voice assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alerts, call alerts, and much more. We also expect the new model to also come with some more advanced features as well.

In addition to that, we can also expect to see some cosmetic changes on the upcoming updated TVS Raider 125 motorcycle such as a new paint scheme, and new body graphics as well. However, we do not expect to see any mechanical changes on the updated model.

However, it is still not known whether TVS Motor will update the Raider 125 lineup with this new connectivity feature or if it will launch the updated motorcycle as a separate variant. The latter seems more viable as the connectivity feature will push the price tag on the Raider 125 motorcycle by a significant margin.

Since the upcoming updated iteration of the TVS Raider 125 is likely to sport identical mechanicals, the model will continue to draw its power from the 124.8cc, single-cylinder, SOHC engine. This engine is capable of producing 11.2bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. In addition to that, the engine will send power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.

It is also worth mentioning that the TVS Raider 125 motorcycle gets IntelliGO silent engine start system and TVS Motor claims that the motorcycle can sprint from a standstill to 60km/h in just 5.9 seconds.

Other noticeable features on the TVS Raider 125 motorcycle include telescopic front suspension, mono rear suspension, LED headlights, LED tail lamps, LED DRLs, optional USB charger, 240mm front disc brake (disc variant), and a 10-litre fuel tank.

At present, prices for the TVS Raider 125 starts from Rs 85,973 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base 'Drum' variant, whereas the top-spec 'Disc' variant is priced at Rs 93,489 (ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect the prices of the upcoming updated model to come with a premium of Rs 5,000.
