TVS Hikes Prices Of Its Two-Wheelers Up To Rs 4,850 – Jupiter, Ntorq, Apache, Raider, Radeon & More
Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor has increased the prices of its motorcycles and scooters this festive season. Running through the numbers, TVS Motor has hiked the prices of its two-wheelers up to Rs 4,850 this October. However, it is worth mentioning that some of the two-wheeler models have been exempted from the latest price hike.
That being said, a majority of motorcycles and scooters manufactured by TVS Motor have witnessed a price hike. This includes even entry-level two-wheeler models such as TVS Sport and TVS Scooty Pep Plus as well.
Starting with the motorcycles, the least price hike was witnessed with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (drum) variant. Prices of this motorcycle were increased by just 0.13 per cent, resulting in a price hike of Rs 162. Post the price hike, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (drum) variant is priced at Rs 1,21,790 (ex-showroom, India).
In contrast, the highest price hike in the TVS Motorcycle range was witnessed in the TVS Star City Plus range of motorcycles. The price of the disc brake-equipped variant of the Star City Plus was hiked by Rs 4,145, whereas the price of the Star City Plus drum brake variant was hiked by Rs 4,785. Thanks to this price hike, the TVS Star City Plus motorcycle range starts from Rs 74,990 (ex-showroom, India).
Other than this, the prices for the entry-level TVS Sport motorcycle have been hiked up to Rs 3,920, resulting in an increased starting price tag of Rs 64,050 (ex-showroom, India). In comparison, prices of the TVS Radeon motorcycle range have been hiked up to Rs 3,448. However, the base variant of the TVS Radeon motorcycle has been exempted front the latest price hike.
Being the newer motorcycle, TVS has also exempted the top-spec Raider SmartXonnect motorcycle from the price hike. However, the prices of the previously launched variants of the TVS Raider motorcycle have witnessed a price hike of up to Rs 4,400, and prices for these motorcycles now start from Rs 85,973 (ex-showroom, India).
Other than this, the price of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V range of motorcycles has been hiked up to Rs 4,550, and the prices for the model range now start from Rs 1,17,790 (ex-showroom, India). It is also worth mentioning that the prices of the Bluetooth-equipped variant of the motorcycle have been exempted from the price hike.
Coming to the scooter lineup, the TVS Scooty Pep Plus range of scooters witnessed a price hike up to Rs 4,850. As such, the prices of the Scooty Pep Plus range of scooters now start from Rs 63,284 (ex-showroom, India). On the other hand, prices of the TVS Zest range of scooters now start from Rs 71,636 (ex-showroom, India), post a price hike of Rs 4,620.
Moving to the TVS Jupiter range of scooters, prices of the TVS' best-selling model lineup were hiked up to Rs 1,800. Thanks to the price hike, prices for the TVS Jupiter range of scooters now start from Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom, India) for the base variant and goes all the way up to Rs 89,625 (ex-showroom, India) for the top-spec Jupiter 125 (disc) variant.
In addition to that, prices for the TVS Ntorq range of scooters have been hiked up to Rs 3,300. As a result, prices for the TVS Ntorq range of scooters now start from Rs 79,956 (ex-showroom, India).
Thoughts About TVS Motors' Latest Price Hike
With the latest price hike, the prices for entry-level models have increased by a significant margin. As such, we expect the sales figures of the entry-level models to decline slightly in the coming months.
