Triumph Motorcycles India has increased the price of the Trident 660 by Rs 50,000. The middle-weight naked motorcycle now retails at Rs 7.45 lakh, (ex-showroom, India). However, there are no changes made to the motorcycle with the price increase.

The Trident 660 was launched back in April 2021 and at the time the motorcycle was available with introductory pricing of Rs 6.95 lakh. After nearly 10 months from the launch, the company has now decided to increase the pricing.

Bookings for the motorcycle can be online via the brand's website or at dealerships across India for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Buyers can continue to opt for the low EMI scheme of Rs 9,999 provided by the company.

The street-naked motorcycle is offered in four colour options: Crystal White, Sapphire Black, Matt Jet Black & Silver Ice, and Silver Ice & Diablo Red.

The Triumph Trident 660 is powered by a liquid-cooled, in-line three-cylinder 660cc engine. It produces a maximum of 80bhp at 10250rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6250rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with a slip-assist clutch as standard.

The Trident 660 features a street-naked look with a contoured fuel tank, round-shaped LED headlamps, an underbelly exhaust, a single-seat design, a single-piece handlebar that aids to upright riding position, however, the footpegs are rear set.

The motorcycle comes with a whole host of electronic rider aids. This includes ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, two riding modes: road & rain, and dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle is offered with an optional bi-directional quick-shifter from the company called the 'Triumph Shift-Assist'.

Staying in tune with the current trend of connected technology, the company is also offering 'My Triumph Connectivity System'. All features of the connected technology can be controlled with the switchgear cube and a TFT display. This includes navigation, call/SMS alerts and more.

The motorcycle uses a perimeter frame and double-sided swingarm. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by Showa 41mm upside down separate function forks at the front and Showa mono-shock unit with adjustability for preload at the rear.

Braking on the motorcycle is done via twin 310mm floating discs with two-piston sliding callipers at the front, and a single 255mm disc with a single-piston sliding calliper at the rear both of which are sourced from Nissin.

The Trident 660 features 17-inch alloy wheels at either end shod with performance tyres. The motorcycle features a 14-litre fuel tank and tips the scale at 189Kgs (kerb).

Thoughts About The Triumph Trident 660 Launched In India

The Triumph Trident receives a price increase and is yet not the most expensive motorcycle in the segment. That is currently held by the Honda CB650R and on the affordable end of the scale is the Kawasaki Z650. Despite the price increase, the Trident 660 offers decent, features, performance and value.
