Tork Kratos Electric Motorcycle Production Begins: 500 Units To Be Produced Initially
Tork Motors has commenced the production of the Tork Kratos electric motorcycle. The company has also announced its plans to set up a new micro-manufacturing plant.

We expect the deliveries for this electric motorcycle to commence by the end of this month. Apart from that, Tork Motors will initially focus on customers in Pune as part of strengthening their home turf.

The electric motorcycle from Tork Motors is available in two variants, prices for the standard variant of Tork Kratos motorcycles start from Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), whereas the more powerful Tork Kratos R variant is priced from Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

According to Tork Motors, the company is looking forward to producing 500 units of its electric motorcycle every month.

Speaking about the company, Tork Motors is one of the first start-up companies in India to showcase their electric motorcycle in the Indian automobile market. As part of Phase 1, the Tork Kratos and Kratos R will be available in 6 major Indian cities such as Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Ahmedabad.

According to Tork Motors, the Kratos electric motorcycle is the first vertically integrated electric vehicle in the country and the electric motorcycle is powered by the company's proprietary 'Tork LIION' battery pack with advanced Axial flux topology.

Speaking about the specifications, the Tork Kratos is powered by a 7.5kW electric motor with 28Nm of torque and comes equipped with a large 4kWh battery pack.

On the other hand, the Tork Kratos R is powered by a more potent 9kW electric motor with 38Nm of torque. However, despite using a more powerful electric motor, Tork Kratos R continues to use the same 4kWh battery pack.
According to Tork Motors, the Tork Kratos R can do 0-40km/h in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 120km/h, which is 0.5 seconds quicker and 20km/h faster than the standard Tork motorcycle.

In addition to that, both the Kratos and Kratos R electric motorcycles can do 120kms on a single charge in real-world conditions and the electric motorcycle is said to take less than 1 hour to charge from 0 per cent to 80 per cent using a suitable DC charger.

Tork Kratos electric motorcycle uses a Split Trellis Frame and uses the battery pack as a stressed member and the battery pack itself is placed lower in the frame to optimize the centre of gravity of the electric motorcycle.

According to Tork Motors, the Tork Kratos electric motorcycles are equipped with features such as 4G telemetry for data and service support, a fully digital instrument display, multiple ride modes, LED headlights, LED taillamps, crash alert function and a few more.
