According to Ultraviolette Automotive, interested customers can book the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle for Rs 10,000, and bookings for the electric motorcycle will be open from October 23 onwards.

Coming to the launch, Ultraviolette Automotive is looking forward to launch the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle on November 24. However, production of the electric motorcycle will be limited to just 15,000 units in the first year and the company has also planned a phase-wise roll-out of the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle, starting with Bangalore.

In addition to that, the startup EV maker is also planning to launch the F77 electric motorcycle in Europe and US markets and also has plans to scale up production up to 1 lakh units per year.

Battery Pack & Range

The biggest talking point during the unveiling of Ultraviolette F77 is the electric motorcycle's new battery pack. Unlike the modular battery pack used by the startup EV maker in the prototype model, the production-spec Ultraviolette F77 uses a much larger 10.5kWh battery pack. In addition to that, the new larger battery pack also has an improved power density compared to the one in the prototype model.

Thanks to this new larger battery pack, Ultraviolette Automotive has been able to add a lot of range to the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle. In fact, the claimed range of the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle has gone up from 150 kilometres to 307 kilometres. Moreover, the new battery pack also claims to sport an outstanding thermal management system to manage the hot summer season in the country.

Features

The upcoming Ultraviolette F77 will come with state-of-the-art features such as a full-LED lighting system, a large full-colour TFT dash, 3 ride modes, integrated eSim with LTE connectivity, 9-axis IMU, shock and impact sensors, customisable profiles and lot more.

In addition to that, the Ultraviolette F77 comes with top-notch hardware such as a steel trellis frame with an aluminium bulkhead, inverted cartridge-type forks at the front, a gas-charged pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear, a 320mm front disc brake, and a 230mm rear disc brake. Moreover, the Ultraviolette F77 also comes with dual-channel ABS for even more controlled braking performance.

Powertrain & Performance

Coming to the powertrain setup, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle comes equipped with a 33.52bhp electric motor. Moreover, this electric motor makes 90Nm of peak torque. Thanks to this powertrain setup, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle can sprint to 60km/h from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds and reach 100km/h in 7.5 seconds. According to the official website, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle is capable of achieving 147km/h topspeed.

Thoughts About The Ultraviolette F77

Since the Ulatraviolette F77 will be positioned as a premium electric motorcycle, we expect Ultraviolette Automotive to price the Ultraviolette F77 anywhere between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 3.75 lakh in India. Though the electric motorcycle is priced on the higher side, we expect Ultraviolette to make decent sales for a motorcycle in this category.
