Top 5 Things About The Keeway SR125 Motorcycle - Price, Engine, Features & More
The Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer has launched quite a few motorcycles in India within a very short span of time. While the Chinese-owned two-wheeler manufacturer has its goal set on the growing premium motorcycle segment, the company has now launched a 125cc motorcycle that is relatively a lot more affordable than other two-wheelers on its product portfolio.
Price, Bookings & Delivery
Starting with the pricing, as mentioned earlier, the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is a lot more affordable than other two-wheelers produced by the company. However, at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is pretty expensive for a 125cc motorcycle in India.
In comparison, the top-spec, feature-loaded, TVS Raider 125 motorcycle costs just Rs 93,489 (ex-showroom, India), whereas the sportier Bajaj Pulsar NS125 motorcycle costs just Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
According to Keeway, bookings for the Keeway SR125 motorcycles are already open and interested customers can book the 125cc motorcycle at any nearest Keeway dealership. In addition to that, customers can also book the Keeway SR125 motorcycle through the manufacturer's official website. At present, the booking amount is capped at Rs 1,000.
In addition to that, the deliveries of the Keeway SR125 retro motorcycles are said to commence from the last week of October 2022, whereas the test ride for the SR125 motorcycle is said to be soon available at all Benelli / Keeway dealerships in India within a span of few days.
Design
Though the newly launched Keeway SR125 motorcycle is a lot more expensive than other 125cc motorcycles in its segment, it does come with a pretty unique and quite attractive 'Retro' design theme. In fact, the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer has done a commendable job in bringing back the retro charm in the 125cc motorcycle segment.
Also, the design of the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is done in such a way that the motorcycle looks very much like modified two-stroke motorcycles from the late 80's and 90's as well - which is a very good thing considering that the designers have achieved the intended looks with the SR125 motorcycle.
Colours
According to Keeway, the newly launched Keeway SR125 motorcycle is available in three different colour options and all three colour options complement the motorcycle very well. These three colour options include Glossy Black, Glossy Red, and Glossy White.
Features
Since the Keeway SR125 motorcycle embraces the retro design theme, the motorcycle comes with many distinct features that take us back in time. Some of the noticeable elements on the SR125 motorcycle include a circular instrument cluster with chrome surrounds, an unhinged chrome fuel filler cap, cylindrical brake fluid reservoir, spoked wheels, black fork boots, knobbed tyres, ribbed seats, a circular headlamp with integrated LED DRLs, a set of LED turn indicators, and LED tail lamps.
Other noticeable features on the Keeway SR125 motorcycle include a hazard switch, a coloured digital instrument cluster, side stand engine cut-off, 5-step adjustable rear suspension, 300mm front disc brake, 210mm rear disc brake, and a combi brake system.
Engine
While the design of the Keeway SR125 motorcycle attracts customers, the specification sheet seems to deter customers as the comes 125cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine produces just 9.7bhp of peak power and 8.2Nm of peak torque - Which is way less than many 125cc motorcycles in this segment. However, the motorcycle does sport a 5-speed gearbox and large a 14.5-litre fuel tank.
Thoughts About The Keeway SR125 Motorcycle
The Keeway SR125 motorcycle comes with a very good design and a not-so-shabby feature list. However, on paper, the motorcycle does seem to lack the enthusiasm shown in the design of the motorcycle. In addition to that, Keeway has priced the motorcycle on the higher side, which further creates expectations among potential buyers.
