The top 5 list of India's best-selling two-wheelers continues to see the Hero Splendor keep the Honda Activa at bay for yet another month with the Honda CB Shine claiming the final podium spot ahead of Bajaj's Pulsar lineup.
Let's take a look at the top 5 best-selling two-wheelers from October 2022...
1) Hero Splendor - 2,61,721 Units
Hero's Splendor lineup of motorcycles continued to dominate the Indian market with the nation's largest two-wheeler manufacturer shipping out 2,61,721 units of the commuter motorcycle.
Y-o-Y sales of the Splendor lineup were down 2.28 per cent (6,100 units) compared to October 2021's 2,67,821 units. M-o-M sales were also down by 9.95 per cent (28,928 units) compared to September's 2,90,649 units.
2) Honda Activa - 2,10,623 Units
Honda's Activa lineup of scooters also went past the 2 lakh unit mark in October with 2,10,623 units finding new homes last month.
Y-o-Y sales of the Activa were up by 13,924 units (7.08 per cent) compared to October 2021's 1,96,699 units. M-o-M sales though dipped by 34,984 units (14.24 per cent) compared to September's 2,45,607 units.
3) Honda CB Deluxe - 1,30,916 Units
Honda sold 1,30,916 units of the CB Deluxe commuter motorcycle last month. Y-o-Y sales of the Honda CB Deluxe were up by 15.29 per cent (17,362 units) compared to October 2021's 1,13,554 units. M-o-M sales though dropped by 9.83 per cent (14,277 units) compared to September's 1,45,193 units.
4) Bajaj Pulsar - 1,13,870 Units
Bajaj's Pulsar lineup of motorcycles found 1,13,870 new customers in October 2022. Y-o-Y sales of the Pulsar lineup rose by 31.64 per cent (27,370 units) compared to the 86,500 units sold in October 2021. M-o-M sales of the Pulsar lineup also rose by 8.44 per cent (8,867 units) compared to 1,05,003 units sold in September 2022.
5) Hero HF Deluxe - 78,076 Units
The HF Deluxe suffered the biggest drops in October 2022 when Hero sold only 78,076 units of the commuter motorcycle.
Y-o-Y sales of the HF Deluxe dropped by 52.48 per cent (86,235 units) compared to the 1,64,311 units sold in October 2022, when the bike occupied the 3rd spot on this list. M-o-M sales of the HF Deluxe also dropped by 16.58 per cent (15,520 units) compared to the 93,596 units sold in September 2022.
Thoughts About The Top 5 Best-Selling Two-Wheelers
The Hero Splendor and the Honda Activa's eternal fight at the top of the sales charts continued in October. While the Splendor once again came out on top, all the vehicles on this list except for the Pulsars dropped in some way or the other which is rather weird considering we just had a festive season.
