Top 10 Two Wheelers In September 2022 - Pulsar Sales Cross 1 Lakh Mark

Hero Splendor (2,90,649 units)

The Hero Splendor once again tops the top 10 list. Moreover, this model has always been one of the best-selling two-wheelers in India despite being in the market since 1994 with minimal changes. In September 2022, Hero MotoCorp sold 2,90,649 units of Hero Splendor motorcycles in the country. As a result, the YoY sales figures also went up by almost 5 per cent.

Honda Activa (2,45,607 units)

While Honda revolutionised the Indian scooter segment with the Activa, the model continues to tail behind the Hero Splendor in terms of sales figures. At present, the Honda Activa scooter is in its 6th generation in the country and 2,45,607 units of the 110cc scooter was sold in September 2022. YoY growth stands at just 0.10 per cent.

While Honda CB Shine continues to be the best-selling 125cc motorcycle in India, it is still a distant third with sales figures standing at 1,45,193 units in September 2022. This has resulted in a YoY sales of almost 2 per cent.

Bajaj Pulsar (1,05,003 units)

The Bajaj Pulsar is among the most iconic motorcycles in the Indian automobile market and in September 2022, Bajaj sold 1,05,003 units of the Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles in India. This has resulted in a YoY sales increase of more than 81 per cent.

Hero HF Deluxe (93,596 units)

The Hero HF Deluxe is among the most affordable motorcycles in the country and a go-to motorcycle for many buyers in rural parts of India. In September 2022, Hero MotoCorp sold 93,596 units of Hero HF Deluxe motorcycles in India. As such, the YoY sales figures of the motorcycle dipped by more than 31 per cent.

TVS Jupiter (82,394 units)

The TVS Jupiter slowly yet consistently gained market share in the Indian scooter segment, and it is the second best-selling scooter in India. In September 2022, TVS sold 82,394 units of Jupiter scooters in the country and the YoY sales increased by more than 46 per cent.

Bajaj Platina (73,354 units)

Bajaj Platina is a motorcycle renowned for its excellent fuel efficiency figures. In September 2022, the company managed to sell 73,354 units of Platina motorcycles in India, resulting in a YoY sales decline of more than 11 per cent.

TVS XL 100 (47,613 units)

The TVS XL 100 is a gearless moped and, this moped can be considered the backbone for many micro-businesses in India. In September 2022, TVS sold 47,613 units of TVS XL 100 mopeds in India. However, the YoY sales figures dipped by more than 22 per cent.

Suzuki Access (46,851 units)

The Suzuki Access is a practical 125cc scooter. Despite its reserved styling, the Suzuki Access 125 is well-known for its strong acceleration. In September 2022, Suzuki sold 46,851 units of Access 125 scooters in India. Moreover, the YoY sales figures improved by more than 4 per cent.

TVS Apache (42,954 units)

The TVS Apache range of motorcycles has always been a consistent seller for the automaker in India. However, the mode slipped to the 10th spot in this list. In September 2022, TVS managed to sell 42,954 units of Apache motorcycles in India. Moreover, YoY sales increased by almost 6 per cent.
