Top 10 Two Wheelers In May 2022: Hero Splendor Dominates
The Indian two-wheeler market has shown a strong recovery post the pandemic. Moreover, all the two-wheelers in the top 10 list have shown positive YoY sales growth.

Hero Splendor (2,62,249 units)
The Hero Splendor has always been a favourite motorcycle in India. Despite being in the Indian two-wheeler market since 1994 with very few changes, the motorcycle still dominates the industry.
In May 2022, Hero MotoCorp sold 2,62,249 units of Hero Splendor motorcycles in India. This not only made it the best-selling motorcycle in May 2022, but the YoY sales figures also went up by 161 per cent.

Honda Activa (1,49,407 units)
The Honda revolutionised the Indian scooter segment with the Activa. The scooter quickly gained traction in the Indian market with its bullet-proof reliability, smooth engine and hassle-free riding experience.

The Honda Activa is in its 6th generation in India and the 110cc scooter still continues its strong presence in the Indian market. In May 2022, Honda sold 1,49,407 units of Honda Activa scooters in India, resulting in YoY growth of more than 778 per cent.

Hero HF Deluxe (1,27,330 units)
The Hero HF Deluxe is among the most affordable motorcycles in the country and a favourite in rural parts of India.
During the last month, Hero MotoCorp sold more than 1,27,330 units of Hero HF Deluxe motorcycles in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of more than 202 per cent.

Honda CB Shine (1,19,765 units)
The Honda CB Shine is the best-selling 125cc motorcycle in India and a consistent performer for HMSI. In May 2022, Honda sold 1,19,765 units of CB Shine motorcycles in India.
This sales performance resulted in a YoY sales increase of almost 717 per cent as the company managed to sell just 14,666 units last year around the same timeframe.

Bajaj Pulsar (69,241 units)
The Bajaj Pulsar is among the most recognisable motorcycles in the Indian automobile market. Now, the Bajaj Pulsar range starts from 125cc segment and goes all the way up to 250cc segment.
In May 2022, Bajaj sold 69,241 units of Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of almost 75 per cent.

TVS Jupiter (59,613 units)
The TVS Jupiter slowly gained the market share in the Indian two-wheeler segment, and the model is now the best-selling model in TVS' product portfolio.
TVS sold 59,613 units of Jupiter and the YoY sales increase stands at more than 868 per cent, the highest in this list.

Suzuki Access (35,709 units)
The Suzuki Access is a practical and peppy 125cc scooter. The scooter is known for its strong acceleration and it is a favourite among many youngsters in India despite its slightly reserved styling.
In May 2022, Suzuki sold 35,709 units of Access scooters in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of 267 per cent.

TVS XL 100 (35,148 units)
The TVS XL 100 is a gearless moped and the success of the moped can be credited to its utilitarian nature. Moreover, this moped can be considered the backbone for many micro-businesses in India.
In May 2022, TVS sold 35,148 units of TVS XL 100 mopeds in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of 392 per cent.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 (29,959 units)
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a favourite among many youngsters in India. The latest version is a significant improvement over its predecessor without sacrificing its core character.
In May 2022, Royal Enfield sold 29,959 units of Classic 350 motorcycles in India, making it the best-selling Royal Enfield model in India. Apart from that, the YoY sales figures also improved by 224 per cent.

Hero Glamour (28,363 units)
The Hero Glamour is a very stylish-looking 125cc commuter motorcycle and a consistent performer for Hero MotoCorp in India.
In May 2022, Hero MotoCorp sold 28,363 units of Glamour motorcycles in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of more than 287 per cent.

Taking the average, the YoY sales of the top 10 motorcycles in May 2022 increased by more than 261 per cent. These numbers are very promising, and we expect the sales figures to go further up in the coming months.
