Honda Activa (2,45,607 units)

Honda revolutionised the Indian scooter segment with the Activa and the model continues to top the scooter sales figures despite having strong competitors in the segment. At present, the Honda Activa scooter is in its 6th generation in the country and the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer sold 2,45,607 units of the scooter in September 2022. However, YoY growth stands at just 0.10 per cent.

TVS Jupiter (82,394 units)

The TVS Jupiter is the second best-selling scooter in India. Though the model is a distant second to the Honda Activa in terms of sales volume, the model is showing slow but consistent improvement in market share. In September 2022, TVS sold 82,394 units of Jupiter scooters in the country and the YoY sales have increased by more than 46 per cent.

Suzuki Access (46,851 units)

The Suzuki Access is not only a practical 125cc scooter, but the model also packs peppy performance. In addition to that, it is currently the best-selling Suzuki two-wheeler in India with consistent MoM and YoY sales figures. In September 2022, Suzuki sold 46,851 units of Access 125 scooters in India. As a result, the YoY sales figures improved by more than 4 per cent.

TVS Ntorq (31,497 units)

The TVS Ntorq is a 125 scooter that has been designed from the ground up to appeal to the younger demographic. The TVS Ntorq also comes with a very strong 125cc powertrain that offers plenty of performance. In terms of sales figures, TVS sold 31,497 units of the Ntorq range of scooters in September 2022, resulting in a YoY sales increase of almost 7 per cent.

Honda Dio (29,994 units)

The Honda Dio is a stylish scooter based on the Honda Activa platform. In addition to that, the Honda Dio also comes with a very strong fan following in the country. In September 2022, Honda managed to sell 29,994 units of Dio scooters in India, resulting in a 13.2 per cent decline in YoY sales.

Hero Pleasure (19,682 units)

The Hero Pleasure is currently the best-selling Hero scooter in India. However, sales figures are still a long way away from the market leaders such as Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter and more. Sales figures in the last month stood at 19,682 units, resulting in a YoY sales decline of more than 9 per cent.

Hero Destini (14,951 units)

Unlike the Hero Pleasure and Hero Maestro, the Hero Destini is a relatively new model. Despite that, sales figures for the Hero Destini scooter are commendable as the two-wheeler manufacturer managed to sell 14,951 units in September 2022. Moreover, the strong performance has resulted in a YoY sales increase of almost 21 per cent.

Suzuki Burgman (12,875 units)

Though the Suzuki Burgan is styled as a maxi-scooter, it is actually based on the Suzuki Access 125 scooter platform. However, the Burgman scooter does come with a bit more space for larger riders. In September 2022, Suzuki sold 12,875 units of Burgman scooters in India, accounting for a 48.5 per cent increase in YoY sales.

However, sales figures haven't been kind to this model as the company managed to sell just 10,348 units in September 2022, resulting in a YoY sales decline of more than 27 per cent.

The TVS Scooty Pep+ is a compact scooter that is very easy to ride. Despite its compact dimensions, the TVS Scooty Pep+ offers decent space and performance. In September 2022, TVS managed to sell 9,518 units of Pep+ scooters in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of more than 31 per cent.
