Speaking about the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, the upcoming motorcycle from Royal Enfield is a cruiser motorcycle that will use the same 650cc, parallel-twin engine from the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycles.

That being said, Royal Enfield has already commenced training for dealership staff and we expect the two-wheeler manufacturer to launch the motorcycle in January. However, Royal Enfield will unveil the upcoming Super Meteor 650 motorcycle at the EICMA 2022 on November 8.

Diving into the details, the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorcycle is expected to have a road presence unlike any other Royal Enfield motorcycle. However, the motorcycle is expected to sport similar mechanical bits from the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycles.

At present, the 650cc, parallel-twin engine in the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycles produce 47bhp of peak power at 7,100rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. On top of that, this powertrain comes with a 6-speed gearbox. However, we expect Royal Enfield to retune this powertrain to suit the character of the cruiser-style nature of the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorcycle.

In terms of hardware, the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 motorcycle is expected to come equipped with beefier telescopic forks and bigger brakes at the front to justify the premium price tag and additional weight the motorcycle is expected to lug around. Other than this, the rear suspension is likely to be the same twin gas-charged shock absorbers.

It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is expected to sport a large 20-litre fuel tank - This will ensure minimal stops between refuellings. Also, the massive fuel tank will give the motorcycle a lot of road presence as well.
