Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 Launched In India: Launch Price Rs 2.11 Lakh
Suzuki Motorcycles has launched the all-new Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 in India and the motorcycle has been priced at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Suzuki has positioned this motorcycle as a multi-use bike, which means the motorcycle can be used in a wide variety of environments and terrains. Also, the motorcycle is designed to be a comfortable commuter, long-distance highway cruiser and mild off-roader.

Design
In terms of design, the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 looks very unique in the segment with its beaked nose and octagonal LED headlamps.

On the sides, it is clear that the motorcycle comes with scooped seat and a tall handlebar for a comfortable riding posture. Also, the presence of the large grab handle is a very thoughtful addition for carrying luggage with relative ease.

Overall, the design of the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 looks very unique and purposeful with a strong road presence. Moreover, the neatly laid out graphics and colours further help the motorcycle stand out from the current crop of motorcycles.

Features
In terms of features, the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 comes with an all-LED headlamp set-up that provides more than enough illumination and the motorcycle also comes with features such as dual-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, USB charging port, alloy wheels, a fully-digital instrument cluster and a few more.

In addition to these features, the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 will also have Bluetooth connectivity that will be powered by the Suzuki Ride Connect app which will enable the user to access features such as turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alert, WhatsApp Alert, SMS alert, missed call alert, speed exceeding warning, phone battery level indicator and estimated time of arrival.

Hardware
Since the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 is an adventure-ready, multi-purpose motorcycle, Suzuki has equipped the motorcycle with a more off-road friendly 19-inch wheels at the front.

However, the front suspension continues to be a telescopic unit with slightly longer wheel travel, rather than USD forks. Moreover, the rear shocks seem to be the same unit from the Suzuki Gixxer 250 models.
Apart from that, as mentioned above, the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 is equipped with alloy wheels at both ends. However, Suzuki may offer more off-road friendly spoked wheels in future.

Powertrain
While the overseas model of the Suzuki V-Storm 250 (Suzuki DL250 AL and Suzuki DL250 AM) is powered by a parallel-twin cylinder engine from the Suzuki Inazuma 250 producing just 24bhp of peak power and 22Nm of peak torque, the newly launched Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 uses the same 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, BS6 compliant engine from the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and this engine produces healthier 26.5bhp of peak power and 22.2Nm of peak torque.

However, we are not sure whether Suzuki has re-tuned this engine for better low and mid-range grunt. In addition to that, this engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Colours & Price
At present, the Suzuki V-Strom 250 is available in three different colour options and all colour options are priced at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Thoughts About Suzuki V-Storm SX 250
The adventure motorcycle segment has been steadily growing in India and by launching a new adventure motorcycle, Suzuki can increase their overall sales and market share in the country.

However, at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom), the Suzuki V-Storm SX 250 is positioned at the pricier side of the spectrum.
