Suzuki Motorcycles February 2022 Sales: Witnesses Growth In Exports
Two Wheeler sales in India has been stagnant for quite some time now and the overall sales have gone down for most OEMs despite launching a few new products in recent times.

Suzuki Motorcycles are also not any different and the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has also experienced similar ups and downs in the Indian two-wheeler market.

The domestic sales of the Suzuki have come down by 1.5 per cent in terms of YoY sales performance as the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer managed to sell just 58,603 units in February 2022 as opposed to 59,530 units in February 2021.

Regarding MoM sales performance, Suzuki motorcycle's sales in the domestic market have gone down by more than 3 per cent as the brand managed to sell a little more than 60,000 units in January 2022.

However, Suzuki Motorcycles had phenomenal growth in international markets and YoY exports are up by more than 12 per cent. The export numbers stand at 13,597 units for February 2022 as opposed to just 12,132 units in February 2021.

Apart from that, MoM exports have almost doubled with a growth rate of more than 43 per cent. The January exports for the Suzuki motorcycles stand at 9,469 units.
In terms of overall performance, Suzuki Motorcycles mark as overall growth in terms of both MoM and YoY sales figures.

Taking overall YoY sales figures, Suzuki managed to sell 72,200 units in February 2022, which is 538 units more than what it achieved in February 2021, resulting in 0.75 per cent growth.

Coming to the overall MoM sales numbers, Suzuki yet again shows growth, thanks to strong export figures. In terms of numbers, MoM growth was registered at 3 per cent as the company managed to sell 70,092 units in January 2022.

However, domestic sales for Suzuki motorcycles will increase as the Japanese manufacturer has launched their new 125cc scooter, the Avenis, in the Indian two-wheeler market.
The Suzuki Avenis competes with other 125cc scooters such as Honda Grazia 125, Aprilia SR 125, TVS Ntorq 125 and other 125cc scooters in India.

Powering the Suzuki Avenis is the same 124cc, single-cylinder engine from the Suzuki Access 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street 125. This engine produces 8.5bhp of max power at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of max torque at 5,500rpm.

Thoughts About Suzuki Motorcycle's Sales Performance
Though overall figures have been positive for Suzuki in February 2022, the domestic sales are down by a significant margin. However, we expect Suzuki to bounce back thanks to the launch of the new Suzuki Avenis 125cc scooter.
