Royal Enfield YoY Sales Figures Dip Marginally: Himalayan Registers Strong Growth

However, we do not see a downward trend for Royal Enfield motorcycles in India as MoM sales figures have grown by more than 12 per cent as the two-wheeler manufacturer managed to sell 58,477 units of its two-wheelers in March 2022.

In comparison, the company managed to sell just 52,135 units in the previous month, which is 6,342 units less compared to the total sales achieved by the company in March 2022.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 (32,694 units)

In March 2022, Royal Enfield managed to sell 32,624 units of its Classic 350 motorcycles in India. This makes Classic 350 the best-selling motorcycle in Royal Enfield's product portfolio.

In addition to that, the YoY sales for the Classic 350 motorcycle improved by more than 3 per cent compared to its performance last year. In terms of MoM sales, the sales figures of the Classic 350 improved by almost 9 per cent compared to the previous month.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 (8,283 units)

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is one of the oldest motorcycle nameplates in India, as a result, the Bullet 350 has a separate fan base in the country.

In March 2022, Royal Enfield sold 8,283 units of Bullet motorcycles in India. However, the YoY sales for this motorcycle has come down by almost 15 per cent, but compared to sales figures achieved in the previous month, MoM sales have gone up by 29 per cent.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (6,589 units)

The Royal Enfield's Meteor 350 is a favourite for many riders, thanks to its excellent touring capabilities. However, both YoY and MoM sales figures for the motorcycle took a hit in March 2022 as the company managed to sell just 6,589 units.

In comparison, Royal Enfield sold 6,749 units in February 2022 and 10,596 units in March 2021, resulting in a 2 per cent and 38 per cent dip in MoM and YoY sales, respectively.

Royal Enfield Himalayan (5,225 units)

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the best adventure touring motorcycles you can buy in India. The motorcycle has been designed to tackle trails and rough patches from the ground up.

Thanks to many adventure-friendly qualities, the Royal Enfield has gained a lot of traction in the market and in March 2022, Royal Enfield managed to sell 5,225 units and registered 80 per cent and 75 per cent YoY and MoM sales increase, respectively.

Royal Enfield Electra 350 (4,460 units)

Royal Enfield sold 4,460 units of Electra 350 motorcycles in India. Though a decent number, YoY sales for the motorcycle reduced by 454 units. Thus, registering a YoY sales decline of more than 10 per cent.

On the other hand, MoM sales for the motorcycle increased by 30 per cent as the company managed to sell just 3,426 units in February 2022.

Royal Enfield 650 Twins

Royal Enfield sold 1,226 units of their 650cc parallel-twin engined motorcycles in India. Though the MoM sales more than halved in comparison to 2,469 units in February 2022, YoY sales have jumped by 224 per cent as the company sold just 378 units in March

Thoughts About Royal Enfield's Sales Performance In March 2022

Analysing the sales performance of Royal Enfield, we can see that the brand has witnessed a small dip in overall YoY sales performance as the company managed to sell 1,696 units more in March 2021.

However, the MoM sales performance of the motorcycle brand is up by more than 12 per cent and we do not see anything slowing down this momentum.
