Royal Enfield Hunter Images & Other Details Leaked Ahead Of The Launch
The Royal Enfield Hunter is an upcoming motorcycle based on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 platform (Royal Enfield J-Platform). Now, the details regarding the motorcycle have been leaked online.
The leaked information regarding the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter reveals crucial information such as images, pricing and launch date. Though the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter has been spotted several times during test runs, the latest leaked pictures reveal a lot more about the upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle.
From the latest images, it is clear that the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter will be a scrambler-type motorcycle with its tear-drop shaped fuel tank, long single-piece seat, circular headlamps, turn indicators, rear-view mirrors, and slightly raised rear section.
Apart from that, the images hint at a low seating position, wide handlebars and slightly mid-set foot pegs. This riding position will give the upcoming Hunter motorcycle slightly sportier riding characteristics compared to other Royal Enfield motorcycles such as the Meteor, Classic, Bullet and a few more.
Given the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter is based on the Royal Enfield J-Platform and scrambler-like styling, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter is suspected to be the lightest among Royal Enfield motorcycles and more likely to feature the same 349cc powertrain as the Meteor and Classic motorcycles.
This means the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter is capable of producing 20.2bhp of peak power and 27Nm of torque. However, we are not sure if Royal Enfield has made any changes to the gear ratios of the 5-speed gearbox to suit the character of the motorcycle.
In addition to this, the leaked information also reveals that the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter will be offered in two variants - codenamed 'J1C1' and 'J1C2'. Out of these two models, the 'J1C1' will sport more features, whereas the 'J1C2' iteration will come with bare minimum features to keep the prices very aggressive.
When launched, we expect Royal Enfield to price the upcoming Hunter motorcycle around Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom. This puts the motorcycle competing against motorcycles such as Yamaha FZ25, Suzuki Gixxer, and Bajaj Pulsar 250.
Also, we expect Royal Enfield to launch the Hunter motorcycle in mid-July and deliveries to commence a month after that.
