The NIJ Automotive Accelero+ e scooter is offered with either a valve regulated lead-acid (VRLA) or Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. While there is only a single lead-acid battery pack on offer, the LFP battery pack is offered in three guises - 1.5kW (48V), 1.5kW (60W) and a dual battery 3kW (48V).

The NIJ Accelero+ has three riding modes with the most efficient mode allowing the electric scooter to be ridden for 190 kilometres on a single charge. This claimed range figure can only be achieved with the dual Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery setup in Eco Mode. The city riding mode drops the range figure to just 120 kilometres.

The lead-acid battery pack can be charged by plugging it into a 3A power socket. This allows the battery to charge fully in 6 to 8 hours. The lithium ferro phosphate battery pack when plugged into a 6A socket can be charged in 3 to 4 hours.

NIJ Automotive has not revealed the power or torque figures of the single brushless DC motor powering the e-scooter. The scooter sports a sine wave controller for the motor. Suspension duties on the electric Accelero+ scooter are handled by telescopic forks up at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a single 180mm disc that halts the front wheel and a drum brake to catch the rear.

The Accelero+ from NIJ Automotive measures 1,720mm long, 690mm wide and 1,100mm tall. The Accelero+ electric scooter has a wheelbase of 1,280mm and a ground clearance of 175mm. The electric scooter weighs in at 86 kilogrammes and has a maximum loading capacity of 150 kilogrammes. The maximum gradient that the Accelero+ can climb is 12 degrees.

NIJ Accelero+ Design & Features

The Accelero+ sports a rather conventional design. The e-scooter from NIJ Automotive features a large LED daytime running light on the handlebar cowl. The dual LED headlights are flanked by boomerang-shaped turn indicators.
