Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R Debuts With Proper Off-Road Equipment: Will It Go Into Production?
Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R revealed at EICMA 2022. The X-Cape ADV-R is all set to become the top-spec off-roader from the heritage Italian motorcycle brand. It is said to be a concept for now. However, it does look production-ready in many ways and we expect it to go into production in the near future.
The Moto Morini X-Cape 650X was recently launched in the Indian market. We rode the motorcycle on-road and off it and it impressed us quite a bit. It is one of the best mid-weight motorcycles and is very capable indeed. Now though, Moto Morini seems to have taken the motorcycle's capabilities to the next level with this new concept.
It is called the X-Cape ADV-R and as the name suggests, is a proper off-roader. The engine and chassis remain identical to the X-Cape 650. However, there are quite a few bits that make it stand out in a crowd and make it a proper ADV.
The first element that will grab one's attention is the new graphics scheme. It features more decals and each one them is attractive. It now has multiple colours at play all across the motorcycle. The seat too has a dual-tone finish with the Moto Morini branding on it. The 'X' in Cape is finished in the colours of the Italian national flag.
It features golden rims, and more off-road protection. Additional body panels are another element that is new on the motorcycle. It gets additional protection near the engine and it also features an aluminium sump guard. The new top fairing extension is now fitted with a Garmin satellite navigation that is off-road-ready.
In addition, the motorcycle also features a brake disc shroud up front that lends the motorcycle a hardcore off-road appearance. Finally, the X-Cape ADV-R gets an increased saddle height and a performance SC Project exhaust system.
At this point in time, Moto Morini is yet to confirm if the X-Cape ADV-R will go into production. However, if they do decide to produce this motorcycle, it would be easy to do so, given that the base motorcycle still remains the X-Cape 650X.
Thoughts On Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R Being Revealed
The Moto Morini X-Cape 650R is one of the finest off-roaders in its segment. It comes very close to being a proper off-road motorcycle. However, now that the brand has showcased what it can look like as a proper ADV, all eyes are going to be on the launch of the X-Cape ADV-R. Will it carry the same name forward to production, and will it make it into production is something that we will have to wait and watch.
