Livewire S2 Del Mar LE Teased Ahead Of Debut - The Post Harley-Davidson Era Begins
Electric motorcycle manufacturer Livewire has teased the arrival of its second electric bike the S2 Del Mar LE.
Electric motorcycle manufacturer Livewire has teased the arrival of its second electric bike the S2 Del Mar LE. Livewire was originally the name given to Harley-Davidson's first-ever electric before the American motorcycle brand spun it off as a standalone EV brand late last year.
The video from Livewire teases the brand's upcoming second electric model which will bear the 'S2 Del Mar LE' name. The teaser video gives us a very small glimpse at the new bike at the 6 second mark where we get to see the left side of the rear of the e-bike.

Livewire had earlier confirmed that the S2 Del Mar LE will be based on the marque's Arrow platform. Livewire's Arrow electric vehicle platform takes the bike's electric motor, battery, inverter and the charger into a single element. Livewire's Arrow platform is scalable and can be adapted to suit different performance levels and configurations.

The S2 in the name of the the upcoming Del Mar suggests that the new bike will be a middleweight motorcycle. The Arrow platform can also be adapted for lightweight and heavyweight designs.

Livewire is currently in the process of going public. Harley Davidson is spinning off the Livewire brand by merging it with a special acquisition company (SPAC). The three partners in the SPAC deal include Taiwan's Kymco motorcycle brand and a company called AEA-Bridges Impact Corp. (ABIC). The deal is expected to be finalised by the middle of the year.

Thoughts On the Livewire S2 Del Mar LE
The S2 Del Mar LE will be the first new electric motorcycle from the spun off Livewire marque. The brand currently has one electric motorcycle in the form of the OG Harley-Davidson Livewire which is now known as the Livewire ONE. With the new S2 Del Mar LE, Livewire is set to show the world its post Harley-Davidson future. We can't wait to see what they come up with.
